[OOC: This is YET ANOTHER RP for my discovery of the three islands I've labelled as my states for the past two years. If someone has a problem with my RPing this, please let me know now with an up or down vote on whether or not I actually get those islands.]

"What do the aerial surveys tell you, Conners?"

"We're picking up signs of more people moving into our region, Commodore."

"More people Conners?"

"Yep."

I was afraid of that, Commodore Bart West said as he looked at the satellite images of three islands that had become the 23rd, 24th, and 25th states in the Incorporated States of Sarzonia. The islands were originally the solution to Sarzonia's burgeoning overcrowding problem, but now even these islands were now getting overcrowded in their own right. Yet, the intelligence reports of a rapidly growing region weren't going away anytime soon.

He looked at the ships in his convoy. Along with the warships, both short-ranged and seafaring capital ships, that made up his fleets, West saw the civilian ships with supplies needed to reinforce Sarzonian military strength in the area that they'd always claimed as their own. Now, that land was going to have to be reinforced from a sudden influx of newcomers.

West shook his head. Now I sound like a xenophobe, he thought. Still, the government's directive was clear. Those three islands had to be secured and with the full might of the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy behind him, he was instructed to show the flag and project Sarzonia's power to dissuade any nation from a land grab so close to Sarzonia's shores.

"Even if those damn Packies try poking their heads after our territory, we've got to keep 'em away," he told Captain Johan Conners. "Especially if it's the Packies."

"Sir, we're not at war with Pacitalia," Conners retorted. "And you're not going to start a war with them and stay in command of this squadron."

West looked sharply at Conners, but he knew the man was right. Still, the three islands were expected to remain in Sarzonian hands by the Sarzonian government and that was a fate much worse than a war against a country that was at one time a staunch ally of Sarzonia's.

"We're getting underway," Lieutenant Anne Banks called out. "Course plotted and heading at 16 knots."

"Steady as she goes," Conners replied. West was lost in thought, obviously thinking about the increased military presence his nation was going to have to put up near its own waters.
Sarzonia
It's all about the Navy.
