I didn't want to "interrupt" the current SDL-Thread, so I created this one. Some RP prior to this application maybe found in the “(Re) Building Nyssa” thread…
CODE | Appreciated Delegation of the Strategic Defense League
With the nations of Lamoni and Khazaron supporting Nyssa in building its new military and training its forces, we finally have decided to put another clear sign to quit with the past - the Legal Heirs of Latao-Nyssa hereby applies to initiate talks that shall ask the SDL-member nations under what circumstances Nyssa could join the alliance one day.
We would be very happy if the great SDL-community would agree on hosting a Nyssan delegation in its head quarters where we can discuss the first conditions and maybe a raw time table.
The Protectorate understands the SDL primary as a protection power of its yet weak state. Please notice, that there is a discussion taking place in the society and the parliament if Nyssa should add a paragraph to its constitution that prohibits the use of its army outside of its boarders, as a reaction to the second AO-world war. Nyssa is also willing to allow support, assistance and controlling of its forces in case the SDL authorities so wish.
Greetings National Executive Committee - The Legal Heirs of Latao-Nyssa.

OFFICIAL STATEMENT FROM KAFRA
With all due respect, if Nyssa's application is, at the present time, even considered by the SDL, then Nedalia will respectfully withdraw itself from the League. Even an application cannot be possible to consider, yet alone talk about joining the SDL. We understand Nyssa is looking for a brighter future and is trying to rebuild, but with action comes consequence, and unfortunately, because of the tyranny that existed in old Latao, new Nyssa is now paying for it.
We would like to remind all those interested that Nedalia has not negated its official state of war stance with Latao/Nyssa. In due time, ofcourse, if Nyssa continues to show the ability to move forward and become a participating member in a positive light here in the AO, there can be talks between our two countries.
But as for the application to the SDL, we reject it outright, and while we don't think it will happen, if the other SDL members bring forth the issue of consideration, we will respectively withdraw, as stated above. Such is the seriousnes and firmness of our position on the subject. |

Official Statement, Incorporated Sarzonian Government[/center]
The Incorporated Sarzonian Government categorically refuses to consider the prospective admission of Nyssa into the SDL. If the member nations allow Nyssa into the SDL, we will resign our membership from the alliance provided that we ratify the treaty to join the SDL.

QUOTE | TO: Strategic Defense League, and the Protectorate of Latao-Nyssa FROM: Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Khazaron
In light of the reactions from our fellow members of the SDL, the Patriarch has decided that the Dominion of Khazaron will abstain for the time being from the issue of the admission of Latao-Nyssa into the League. We have had a limited experience with them in the past, a hostile one at that, but do not wish to judge the current incarnation to harshly for the mistakes of the old. That having been said, we will keep our eyes open for any activities that is similar in nature to those of the old Von Papen or Omsec regimes of Old Latao. It is our sincerest hope that this situation will work itself out peacefully, without the need for our brother-nations to withdraw from this League that we have all worked so hard for up to this point.
Also, to speak more specifically to the Protectorate of Latao-Nyssa and her government, in regards to the recent correspondence between our two nations and your request for educational aide, the Dominion will be glad to send over some of our leading educational authorities to begin setting up a permanent exchange program in your nation. We also will start the process of sending over some military advisors with some examples of the surplus old equipment we have to see what is to your liking. Please note however, that due to the current situation between your nation and some of the SDL nations, we would like to refrain from making any concrete arrangements until this situation is smoothed out. We hope you will understand.
In the name of the Patriarch,
Danielle Uram Minister of Foreign Affairs Dominion of Khazaron

We do hope that Falcania can withdraw its approval of this application. Its consideration, although very unlikely to pass, will shed a negative light on Falcania in the eyes of Nedalia. With Falcania knowing full well the history that exists between Nedalia and Nyssa, for it to approve its application is a slap in the face for us. Alliances are built on trust, and Falcania is starting to take the road that leads away from that. |

It is with great regret that we learn from the decision of the majority of the SDL-nations not to start informal talks regarding a possible future join of the Protectorate.
We acknowledge the reply with consternation and we thank Falcania and Khazaron for their friendly support. Nyssa’s integration into the circle of friendly and honorable nations of Atlantian Oceania shall be the primary goal of our foreign policies, noting that a lot of more talks and trust building actions are needed in normalizing Nyssa’s relations to the world. We hope to gain better support for our strategy of integration Nyssa, since we are convinced that this is the best way to ensure peace and stability in the region.
The authorities of Nyssa would like to suggest non-governmental talks between NGOs of Nyssa, Nedalia and Sarzonia at some neutral ground where an informal exchange of ideas for our common future could be discussed. Beyond the means of official political meetings, these free rounds could be an interesting basis to freely formulate thoughts and desires of how further trust-building actions could look like.
Respectful, The National Executive Authority of Nyssa |
