Latao-Nyssa is happy to handover the embassy buildings to the delegations of Khazaron and Lamoni.
With the support of the two nations, we shall build police forces which are under the control of the provincial authorities and create a national military to ensure safety and stability in a peaceful environment.
We look forward and think, that the foreign forces may end their missions as per end of the year, so they can celebreate christmas at home with their families. |

Latao-Nyssa receives best financial rating
[Luciaria, 20. October 2005] The legal heir state of Latao, the Protectorate of Nyssa is proud to announce that it received the best economy & financial rating “Frightening” from the IWF-World bank.
The nation archived an impressing standard in shortest time since it was pronounced after the second AO-World War against Latao.
Federal Councilor Rufolf Segesser said, that this great development of Nyssa would not have been possible without the support and the help of our friends, especially Khazaron and Lamoni. Now that our friends Lamoni and Khazaron could become involved into another armed conflict regarding the Diamondokere blockage with Falcania and Sarzonia on the other side, the point seems to be reached where Nyssa must take it’s security issues in its own hands and start to re-arm its military forces, since our protection powers might not be able to fully provide their services at our free nation.
With an exchange-rate of the Latinum being nearly two US-Dollars and a defense budget of about a third of the nation’s household, Nyssa will act as an essential and indispensable medium-power underwriting peace and stability in the region. Nyssa respects the discomfort of the Free Land of Nedalia of these days. Federal Councillor Matthias Keckeis therefore plans to travel to Kafra as soon as possible to convict our neighbors that the only reason of re-arming Nyssa’s military is to be able to protect our homeland and its internal stability.
The reason of Keckeis’ visit in Kafra shall be to fully integrate the Nedalian officials into the process of rebuilding our army and to allow full transparency on our activities to them, so they involved into every step.
It is the will of Nyssa to continue its way of trust-building with its former war-rivals and we are sure this is also the will of our partners in the world. We thank the Nedalian officials for their trust and their will to share the path of peace with the Nyssan people – in that sense we cordially pronounce that no re-arming shall be done own the own of Nyssa without considering the occupation powers, namely Nedalia, Lamoni and Khazaron.

STATEMENT FROM KAFRA:
We have till now kept out of new Nyssa and maintained our stance we would not intrude in any way over how the Khazaronians and the Lamonians wished to deal with the matter. However, the re-arming of Nyssa is something we take very seriously, and we are adamant in our belief that no re-arming should be done until the Lamonians and the Khazaronians give it the green light. Unless word comes from our allies, we will continue to consider any re-arming a direct threat to Nedalia. |

With the express warranty from Lamoni and Khazaron of supporting the creation of our new army and to deliver the necessary material to it until the country builds its own resources, we think that the implicit 'permission' should already be given.
However, the leadership of Latao-Nyssa is willing to invite all named parties to a concrete negotiations on this subject. Our doors shall be open also to a Nedalian delegation if they wish to play an active role here rather than just blockign anything we try to bring stability and normalization.
