Government
All government branches are based either in or around the vast Republican Palace in Hypocrium. There have been no national elections in Hypocria since President Drax came to power and disbanded the parliament. Although elections are held at local government level these are merely for show as all real power is centralised within the Republican Palace. Major corporations have a sizable influence on government legislation.
Economy
Hypocria’s strong economy is built upon a diverse variety of industries. Some of the country’s largest industries are influenced by the countries agrarian origins. Both the beef based agriculture and cheese industries are cornerstones of the economy. In recent years the more modern arms manufacture industry has grown to become the largest in the country. Other industries of note include automobile manufacture and gambling.

The people of Hypocria are largely atheist. However a small proportion of the population practice Christianity.
Military
Since the coup that brought President Drax to power the military has become increasingly powerful and military service has been made compulsory. The army is by far the largest of the military institutions although much needed funds have recently been invested in the air force. The navy is in a state of some decline.
Major Cities
Hypocrium
The beating heart of the Republic, Hypocria’s capital is also its largest city. All government power is centralised here under the watchful eye of the President. This sprawling metropolis is home to the headquarters of the majority of Hypocria’s major corporations.
Thraxus
Hypocria’s industries may have their respective headquarters located in the capital but it is Thraxus that houses all the factories and warehouses. Hypocria’s second city is also its industrial capital. This bustling cityscape is shrouded in a perpetual blanket of smog.
Pylos
Pylos is Hypocria’s only major port and as such is a centre for trade. Due to its scenic, coastal geography Pylos is also the heart of Hypocria’s relatively new tourist industry.
Drissa
The “Breadbasket of Hypocria” is surrounded by rich and fertile plains. As such Drissa has become a centre for the nations agriculture based industries.
