After South Osettia's breakaway from the Republic of Georgia, and the election of Eduard Shevarnadze as national leader, the army placed C4 along the border between South Osettia and the rest of Georgia. At 0515 GMT this morning, a detonation party was held, during which the borders were blown up, thus turning South Osettia into an island. Unfortunately, the army calculations were slightly incorrect, and a small part of South Osettia broke off, forming a separate island. Nevertheless, the air force succeeded in transporting the two islands of South Osettia to their current location, Atlantian Ocenia. The two islands, aptly named East South Osettia and West South Osettia, can be located to the north of Nova Brittanicus and to the west of Ainorpisp.
East South Osettia is home to all the major industrial cities, such as Ts'khinvali and Tblisi, whereas West South Osettia is a rural/residential island. The Eastern island has a population of 7 million, and the Western island 2 million (although these values are multiplying everyday). The islands are to be connected by a bridge, the name of which is still to be decided upon, which should be completed within the next few years. |

Ainorpisp has already claimed the two islands north-east of our main island, sorry. They were claimed in a post I put up a while ago, which is still in the Regional Discussion area.

Brief Fmjphoenix History
The Kingdom of Fmjphoenix was founded by King Phoenix III, an avid Counter-Striker who took the naming of the nation by the name he went by. IT is said he started of as a free civil rights activist, but has moved towards economic rule. At the momment, they are tyring to encorperate larger corperations to go with the nations extreme uranium harvesters.
The Kingdom was founded only around two months ago, but is fastly developing into a large and powerful nation. It has a little over 500 million residents and is gaining very quickly. In its short history, King Phoenix III had started a region with people from a video game music forum and turned it into a region, but with dwindling interest from the other nations, The Kingdom of Fmjphoenix took its leave and went to New York, where it resided for a few weeks. There it immediatly was entered inbetween a war between two nations for it was located on the borders of both of the nations. After the minor war that King Phoenix III had decided to enlarge its defense and security. After a the Regional Delegate was overtaken, Fmjphoenix's major ally in the region was taken out of its position and left. After that happened, King Phoenix III needed to find a more hospitle region, as arguements aroused within and conflict was inevitable and King Phoenix III had no want to place Fmjphoeinx into any type of problems where he had no allies. Thus begot the move to Atlantian Oceania, where The Kingdom of Fmjphoenix has meet several nations and leaders through the great sport of football. Now that it resides in Atlantian Oceania, it is looking for a good place to be, and it was looking for a nice large island, like the area at the bottom-left of the map. King Phoenix III asks if it would be allowed to set up its entirety there.

Right. We've moved in, apparently - and even though we haven't limited ourselves to geography before, this may be a good time to start. The Street - by virtue of its name (yes, it's probably not ONE street any more, but we kept the name because it sounds nice) - would probably be a long and thin landmass, preferably on the green land east of Xile, for example. We'd like a coastline - because Streetian technology is so backward, all travel in and out of the country has to be done either by ship or by zeppelin. Also, given that the large troll and dwarf population has to have come from somewhere, we'd like some mountains and caves inland.

Florianopolis wishes to describe its area of habitation on the regional map. The area lies in the Pink realm; the slender coastline west of Fmjpheonix, and desires to include the two small islands directly off the western coast.
A relaxed, developing tropical nation, Florianopolis offers a stunning environment of low lying mountains descending to white sand beaches boasting excellent surfing and snorkeling/diving opportunities. This contrasts with popular hiking and mountain biking opportunities between the peppering of smalls towns and villages, mainly along the coast and some inland. The country itself is still developing economically after a long bout with a corrupt dictatorship, which while not violent or terribly oppressive, cares more for its own longevity then the countries wellbeing. From this experience, the people of Florianopolis are generally an easy going bunch, particular to recreation and very social. Some may find them boisterous and annoying at times, but are good hearted and very friendly towards each other as well as tourists and foreigners. The first comprehensive census is underway, with the results forthcoming.

The Regional Explorers for the Advancement of Fmjphoenix wishes for permission from the leaders of the region to advance eastward in searching for more land that Fmjphoenix may use for its steadily growing economy and to provide more possible areas for residential growth. REAF is most made up of young adults ranged from 21-28 that wish to see Fmjphoenix become large to fit the fast growth of the nations. Thus, they ask permission to venture east and gain more ground in the name of Fmjphoenix. |
