To the leaders of Latao,
The fact that you view our withdrawal from the islands as a sign of surrender shows your general lack of understanding of both the situation that was at hand and the reason for the battle, and points only to skewd sense of logic. Let us clear it up for you:
The Holy Saints invasion of the island would have sealed off the Nedalian southern coast, intentionally or not. This was a procedure we could not allow. While their invasion of the islands was over the re-claimation of some crystals of sorts, the reason for our advancement was in the interest of our southern coast. If the islands had become Holy Saints property with the current borders in place, then all incoming traffic to our southern shores would have to go through Holy Saints water, something we could not allow. Ofcourse, we did not fire the first shot, Holy Saints did. We continually asked for diplomatic talks, but that fell on deaf ears. May we also remind you that the one major battle happened on East Island, where THS had to call in heavy air support because they were on the verge of losing it. Even with the air support, they were unable to push the Nedalian back by much, thanks to our SAMs.
Your presence as peacekeepers were supposed to be a helpful presence on the islands; instead, you only displayed unneccessary imperialistic actions. Instead od mediating talks and stationing peacekeeping forces, you instead threatened THS, using Nedalia as pawns. We honestly don't know what you were expecting, for us to cry and sulk and accept that if THS gave you land on their island they could have the two islands? As you witnessed, that is not the case. As soon as your intentions were known, we took matters into our own hands and effectively sealed off the islands from you and shut your little imperialistic plan down. Now, we are rapidly moving our troops through the southern coast of Sallam (Land No. 20), thus assuring ourselves that our southern coast will still be as open as ever even if the two islands are THS property. So as you can see, the 'potential' between our nations is gone because of your mistakes, not ours. Do not cry about it, and do not sulk like babies because you thought you could outsmart your way to some extra land. Consider yourselves outsmarted.
Having said that, we do not have any hard feelings towards your nation. THS is another story all together, due to their brutal actions, but we're big enough to move on this little incident. We implore you to do the same.
Dewars Strand Minister of Foreign Affairs

We are sad, that the things destiny has brought us caused you to think negative of the Latin people. We opened south Oceania for you, but you did not recognize the historic chance for our folks. You pointed out all key-facts yourself. You were so close to the end victory. Once, the channel-island would have been ceded to Latao, THS were weakened and the way would be free for our united forces to take the other two islands and then march straight over to THS. With THS and the channel-island in our hand, we’ve has all strategic basements to take the Eagles Nest, Nojika, Xile and Nova Mecia. The power to conquer entire south Oceania was at our fingertips, but destiny was against us.
And to address THS, where they think cowardice is a sign of strength, I say they are wrong, as the death is a badge of honor for Latin people. THS has shown its aggressive potential and it’s too close to let this grow unobserved. We watch every move you take carefully, <INSERT PRESIDENT NAME HERE>.
OCC: THS obvously never published a name of a leader, so i dont know, Ahh, a good laugh. - you must admit, my plan was ingenous ;-) |

(ooc: seriously, what are you both on? crack? East Island: about to be reinforced by 2400 special ops troops. Main Island: had 10,000 highly trained infantry on it. Both of you would have been overrun by the amount of re-enforcements i could have brought to bear. dont be delusional, especially you Latao. Getting two little islands would have meant NOTHING against Xile, myself, and the other nations in the area if you expected a 'conquest'. your plan was tom foolery, thats all. When did i say cowardice was a sign of strength? wtf are you smoking?) |

OOC: THS, its all RP, and in the RP, you admitted yourself, you were close to defeat, and your troops were about to be overrun when you sent in the planes. Maybe once your reinforcements arrived things would have shifted, but the point is, they hadnt yet. Dont take it to heart, bro, its all good. Its just RP. |

Dear war-crazed leaders of Latao,
We share not your lust for destruction, bloodbath, and mayhem. Have fun with that. We will instead attempt to improve the quality of life of our people and our sports franchises.

There was a real chance my plan worked. I guess some carpet-bombing of THS-cities and destructing their war manufacturing areas would have quickly brought the change. It's a question of effiecency, we need to operate fast. First, we mount rocket launchers onto the channel-island to 'disable' your anti-air missiles then we follow up with an air strike. Officiers are politicians are shot immedietelly, civilists deported to work in Latin war factories. Latao has a population of 1.5 billion, it would be easy to set up an occupatiance army. Latao would have opened a door to hell in your capital city - it doesn't make a difference if red or green blood spurted. |
