In a short ceremony outside the Parliment House today, the Prime Minister officially signed a document to finally make Esperanto an official language of Bazalonia.
"Esperanto has for some time been a foundation of Bazalonian culture with Esperanto and English being by far the most Spoken languages throughout Bazalonia. And it is now time that this has been recognised and by signing this document making Esperanto an official language of Bazalonia. Giving Esperanto the respect that the language deserves.
"All educational instituitions will be required to have courses that teach Esperanto right from primary school through highschool and into higher education such as Technical Colleges and Universities. All public servants that might deal with the general public as part of their job will be required to be bi-lingual. Any current public servant that does not speak Esperanto will not be put out of a job but will have the opportunity to undertake courses.
