Duvall's plane finally touched down at the airport in the International City at 16:25 local time. Realizing that he was sure to be late, he rushed immediately off to the appointed site, which was a conference room in a nearby hotel. "Ah, good, he hasn't arrived yet, either," Duvall said upon arriving, relieved. Shortly thereafter, Timotheus showed up.
"Well, let's make this quick," Duvall said. "What do you want from us?" |

“We want all of former Lontorica that isn’t part of Commerce He—er, the ‘Unified Capitalizt States.’ You’ve claimed the Lontorican provinces of Côte Verte and Islandiaah, and the eastern part of Königeland.” |

"Well...I really hate making concessions," Duvall admitted. "Still, our claim on those areas was pretty shaky to begin with. Not to mention that since we're justifying all this because it was originally our land, we'd kinda look like hypocrites for not letting you have yours too, and as uptight as this region is right now, we don't need to draw any more attention to ourselves than we have to. So I accept your request—Côte Verte, Islandiaah, and Königeland shall be yours." |

“That was much too easy,” thought Timotheus.
“There is one other matter. There’s not much point in the peninsula northeast of Metrewalk being ‘international territory’ now that Point Ringfield, the ILASC facility, and Unity Field are all abandoned. Perhaps we could come to some sort of agreement?”

"I agree, there's not much point."
Duvall pulls out a map of northern Paleoparipia that he just happens to have on his person.
"I propose that we extend the Lontorika/Bedistan border from its current northern terminus in a straight line roughly west-northwestward...say at a heading of 290 degrees*, to the shore."
* Here considering north to be 0 degrees, east 90 degrees, etc. |

Timotheus hit several buttons on some sort of advanced PDA. The PDA generated a map of the peninsula, showing the proposed border.
“No, that border doesn’t look quite right. Maybe 291.5°?” |

Duvall studied Timotheus' PDA and found the difference negligible enough that it wasn't worth fighting over. "Very well, two-ninety-one-five it shall be." |

“It’s good that our two nations can solve their problems amicably, and we hope to continue to maintain good relations, et cetera,” he said. “Anyway, I think we’re done here.”
Timotheus and Duvall left the room. Timotheus began writing his speech about how wonderful this whole incident was for Lontorika, but was sure that no one watching through the Magical Camera of RP would like to read it. |
