Cockbill Street "A" (identical to the team who played in the Football Tournament in Trotsgrad)

Goalkeepers:

1. Obsidian, aged 33, av rating 5.71, Vimesbairn United*

The ageing goalkeeper never really got a look-in with the international side, but he enjoyed a decent career with Vimesbairn United

13.Olaf Axethwackersson, aged 24, av rating 5.62, K'haz'bak K'druz'ba

Axethwackersson has overcome his obvious physical deficiencies to become a handy keeper, though he's probably behind the troll on ability and experience still

Defenders:

2. Alexander Boiling, aged 26, av rating 5.85, Roegrow Athletic, central defender*

Inexplicably overlooked for the World Cup matches, Boiling is a tall central defender who it would normally be impossible to overlook. His only deficiency is a naturall instinct for getting too involved in the game

3. Tridymite, aged 24, av rating 5.72, Jotneheim Mountains AFC, central defender/left back

Tridymite is a solid defender who will probably get a good career in the Compound League. However, he has no special qualities - he's just a run-of-the-mill professional

4. Callum Cummings, aged 31, av rating 5.70, Vimesbairn Athletic, right back*

Cummings was dropped before World Cup 23 to make way for the young and upcoming talent Adcook - that setback seems to have done worrying things for his career. Hopefully the call-up to the A side will mean that he can pull himself together

5. Thorstein Stonelover, aged 26, av rating 5.75, K'haz'bak K'druz'ba, central defender*

K'haz'bak K'druz'ba, despite poor results, always seem to have a good talent pool. Stonelover is another of those, though he has struggled to fulfil his potential

14.Olaf Einarsson, aged 28, av rating 5.87, full back, Vimesbairn United*

Einarsson, like Boiling, was overlooked for World Cup 23 selection, but an excellent season with Vimesbairn United that included nine assists, gave him the chance with the A side

Midfielders:

6. Keith Hancock, aged 27, av rating 5.79, left winger, Jotneheim Mountains AFC*

Hancock has finally got the recognition many felt he deserved, as the nimble, quick and technical winger got the call-up yesterday

7. Euclase, aged 26, av rating 5.70, central midfielder, Jotneheim Mountains AFC*

Another Jotneheim troll, and of the best quality. Covers the middle third of the pitch in style, and usually stops the opposition by standing in front of them. Excellent passing foot to boot

8. Iret Hiria, aged 26, av rating 5.74, winger, Rizh'peith K'druz'ba

Rizh'peith K'druz'ba bought the half-Turorian in the off-season, after many languishing seasons in the lower-league. Hiria is an A and U-21 team veteran, and will probably stay there

11.Vegard Stronginthearm, aged 23, av rating 5.74, right winger/central midfielder, Rizh'peith K'druz'ba*

Vegard just keeps getting better and better. He plays right winger for his club, one of the best in the Street, and his dribbling skills is second to none. He needs to learn how to give it away, though

15.Harald Stonefinder, aged 25, av rating 5.85, right winger, Laf'goh'lith K'druz'ba*

Another of these invisible Laf'goh'lith players. Harald, however, is a quiet worker who has been rewarded with an A team place, and when Philip McLavish retires following World Cup 23, Stonefinder could well find himself in the national team

Attackers:

9. Edward Clarke, aged 29, av rating 5.89, striker, Roegrow Athletic*

Clarke's been unlucky enough to be in a generation of great Streetian strikers - Peters, Nourse, Chitterling, Canning, Ramírez - thus hasn't got the chance he deserves. The Roegrow player needs to take this chance to impress, though

10.Donald Ure, aged 30, av rating 5.80, forward, R'dhuz'lith K'druz'ba*

Another unlucky man, Ure played in the last tournament the A team was in, though with little reward - he was usually a substitute. That speaks volumes for the current quality of strikers in the Street - despite the national team's scoring record flying in the face of that

12.Liam Williams, aged 24, av rating 5.71, striker, Roegrow Athletic

Williams' good history of pairing up with Edward Clarke at the top was the deciding factor in the Streetian selectors taking him as the last man in the 15-man squad

Sarzonia Stars

Coach: Bryson Juergens
Assistant: Kerry Tanner

ROSTER (starting 11 in bold):

Goalkeepers
1 Marco Taglianetti (Saugerties Snakes): After leading the Stars during a previous AOCAF tournament, he's back to lead the team in its return to the tournament that brought the team into the world scene. He's now 31.
30 Tom Beneditto (Portland Timbers): After an up-and-down career with the Under 21 national team, Beneditto is looking for redemption. At just 23 years old, he's also looking for a spot on the senior national team.

Defenders
2 Jeff Comstock (Nicksia Knights): After the Knights' surprise run through the NSFA Cup, Comstock signed a free agent contract with them. He brings speed and grit to the team. At 24 years old, he also brings an infusion of youth to a veteran side.
4 Landra Tennison (Woodstock Justice, women's team): She earned a spot in the starting 11 on the Stars after an impressive tryout where she out-physicaled several men despite her 5 foot 6, 133 pound frame. At 28 years old, she'll stay in the starting 11 if she continues to play well.
5 Peter Salivani (Randolph Reavers): The older half-brother of Under 21 national team star Ettore, Peter took on his stepfather's last name after dealing with child abuse from his father Jordan Simmons. At 25 years old, Peter brings similar skills to the table.
8 Jeffrey Raven (unsigned): The older brother of Under 21 midfielder Jenna, Jeffrey only recently picked football back up after he quit the game four years ago. The 23 year old earned a spot in the starting 11 mostly on talent.
9 Kurt Laughton (Joe Gibbs University): Even though he's only 22 years old, he graduated from Joe Gibbs University at 19 following intense home schooling. Perhaps the smartest player on the pitch from a schooling perspective.
12 Mike Cole (Bristol Braves, minor league): Even though the Braves are listed as a minor league side, they will be promoted to the Sarzonian Football Confederation due to their dominant record and impressive attendance figures. Cole is also a rugby standout, having led the Sarzonia Galaxians to a surprise berth in the knockout rounds their first time out. At 24 years old, he gives Laughton a run for his money for brain power.

Midfielders
6 Larry Greig (Woodstock Wild): This 29 year old recent signee is one of the most rugged defencive midfielders in Sarzonia. Led the SFC with four red cards last season, so he needs to control his temper. Is in the best shape of his career.
19 Jenna Raven (Under 21 national team): After the abolishment of the Under 21 national team, Raven signed with the senior team, but will be getting experience playing in the AOCAF tournament first. She turned 21 years old before Under 21 World Cup XVII began.
11 Bill Lucifer (Bristol): Led Sarzonia's top minor league with 22 assists and looks to continue in his role as the playmaker with the team in its SFC debut season. He turned 25 last month.
14 Steve Sanderson (Woodstock City College): After serving four years in the Incorporated Sarzonian Navy, this 28 year old went to school and played a couple of seasons for City College. His tenacity from serving in the military has led him to the team, along with his ability to play both defence and attack well.
16 Mark Davis (New Isselmere Dragons): Usually the first player off the bench for Juergens when Grieg starts getting heated, he could play defence in a dire pinch.

Forwards
10 Kevin Wilson (Joe Gibbs University): The younger son of senior team Coach Dave Wilson and the younger brother of team captain Brian, Kevin shares his brother's instincts on the pitch and may be even more of a heartthrob than his older brother. At 23 years old, may be a couple of years away from a permanent spot on either national team.
15 Roy Spencer (Under 21 national team): Still listed with the Under 21s in spite of his age-related ineligibility and the team's abolishment, this 23 year old is looking for a pro team to sign him in spite of his aggressive nose for the goal.
46 John Clinton (Braeden Bayonets): Clinton starred for the Under 21 national team after replacing scoring legend Kenny Cooper but a last place performance at his last tournament there left him with a bad taste in his mouth. Just turned 26.
Sarzonia
It's all about the Navy.

GOALKEEPERS:

[ 95 ] Jawz Oaker [ - Inland Peaks FC - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 19 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Jawz Oaker is the son of Colonial Sile and Oaker national midfielder Arthin Oaker, who moved to Vilita early in his career after his impressive performances for Oaker in past World Cups. Jawz was called up to the Vilita Under 21 squad as Oaker did not participate in the Under-21's, qualifying through his residency and his Mother, a Vilitan. The young keeper spent most of Season 15 on loan to Mavaloiao, before being recruited by Doug Freech's Lopinka side, Declasse champions looking for a starting keeper for their return campain in the Stellar Division. However, hometown Makosile's vast improvements in Season 16 saw the youngster quick to return home to bask in the spotlight with one of Vilita's rising new powers. Despite earning the Goalkeeper of the year award, Oaker's team was not able to compete and spent more time at the bottom of the table then the top, prompting the young keeper to depart once again, this time to Champions League bound inland Peaks FC.

[ 89 ] Manolis Masi [ - Kiiarana City - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 26 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
Manolis Masi moved the Mavaloiao during Vilitan Season 13, and helped lead the team back to the Stellar Division for the first time Since Vilitan Season 1.

[ 90 ] Alioum Mané [ - Hecia (STR) - ]
------- GK ( AGE: 27 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )

DEFENDERS:

[ 2 ] Tulio Arizmendi [ - Jhanna City (STR) - ]
------- D RLC ( AGE: 28 GOALS::SR: 0 U21: 1 REG: 0 )
The unknown Defender made an impact after a late call into the Under-21's, scoring once on the way to the Under-21 World Championship. Arizmendi became only the second Vilitan to win an individual award in Liga Starblaydia when he picked up the Defender of the Year award for Season 4.

[ 65 ] Timmy Leaburn [ - Eastal Lunar - ]
------- D C ( AGE: 21 GOALS::SR: U21: REG: )
After starting his career with Liguon Valley, Leaburn had a brief spell with Strike FC during Season 17. The young defender finally settled into the Stellar Division with Eastal Lunar FC. Leaburn's appearances with Eastal Lunar were limited, and despite two goals in the opening half of season 18, Lunar accepted a transfer offer from Makosile for the budding young Vilitan. Leaburn was enthusiastic about the prospects of working under Makosile coach Lorenzo Abellan, known as the most defensive minded coach in all of Vilita.

[ 63 ] Dene Shaw [ - Turoki United - ]

Dene Shaw was the first player to ever receive international recognition from Turoki United after being called the the Under 21 squad in Under 21 World Cup 12. However, Turoki United's failure to promote from the Declasse division saw Shaw ultimately leave the club, as his stock rose so did his ego and there was no better place for his ego than Lopinka Rovers, controlled by Liverpool England's Doug Freech, newly promoted in Season 16 to the Stellar Division. Shaw moved accross the range to Liguon Valley in Season 17, but his club were knocked ironically out of the Stellar Division on the final day of the season by his former club, Lopinka. After failing to achieve re-promotion, Shaw accepted an offer to make the switch to Stellar Division newcomers Turoki United midway through Season 18, and helped the club avoid relegation in their first attempt.

Ramzi was recruited by Jlinal Cove FC after their relegation to the Declasse Division of the Vilitan Football Pyramid, and since has introduced a wealth of Defensive Midfield talent to Vilitan head coach Helmut Vilkaus. Under-21 International Sanou has risen from absolutely nowhere under Ramzi's leadership to bypass Liverpool England based Antonis Ratuva and Corra Rangers' Lai Otieno to challenge Ramzi himself for his place in the starting lineup for World Cup 19. Sanou established himself in the Vilitan squad, and earned himself a transfer in Season 16 to Vilita Cup 15 winners Eastal Lunar, after many seasons at Jlinal Cove.
