Now this is clearly a good use of the NSUN: to encourage worldwide policies, not to force them on its membership. Legalese supports this policy, and hence SUPPORTS this resolution.

I just don't believe it is in NSUN jurisdiction. This kind of resolution would make a better NS issue than a resolution, Abattoir will NOT support this resolution.

I agree that it should not be in their jurisdiction to legislate on this matter, and would look forward to seeing/proposing one for submission. In this case, the resolution encourages member states to enact policies supporting the concept of self-defense. Therefore, this vote really comes down more to the question of whether the NSUN endorses the concept of self-defense as a legal justification to certain crimes (most notably those resulting in a homicide, etc.). I'd personally expect my fellow neighbors to vote based on their domestic support of such a policy, since this is a non-binding issue.

PS: As delegate, even though you do not support the resolution, you will vote with the preference of the region, correct?

Of course, that's why I say "will support" and "will not support" and not "vote".

Just giving my opinion on the matter.

I support this resolution because I feel that using reasonable force is right when it is in defense of personal property and things of that nature, therefore Fmjphoenix SUPPORTS this one.
