Rules/Moving ball
The rules to Calian Football are the same as in association football/soccer, however though there are quite of few differences:
1: The ball in Calian football is about half the size of a regular soccer ball.
2: The number of players required is six the same number as in indoor soccer.
3: Each match is compromised of two 30 minute half's, and allows no stoppage time. If a match in a elimination tournament ends in a tie then another 30 minutes is added to the game, even then if still tied another game is played to determine the winner.
3:1 As Calian football is scorinated with chess four games, the extra time will be scorinated with chess two games. After the last game all the goals will be added to the final score.
4: Free kicks, are administered from the free kick zone, the only players that should be on the pitch are the goalie and the kicker. If the kicker successfully scores a goal during a free kick their team is awarded a half a point.
5: Teams are allowed a maximum of six substitutes.
6: If a team has two or more players that have been red carded, they are then allowed to bring one player back onto the field(not the red carded ones) in return however the opposing team will revive two free kicks.
7: There are only three officials on the pitch at all times, two assistants and one referee.
8: The total number of players allowed on a team is 11, with the number of positions on the 11 being up to the coach of the team.
An example of a Calian league, group playoffs eliminates the complicated the potential of extra time.
The newish part of this originates from this post from October, 2011, The original rules I overwrote for a "letter to the editor", but i'll say they were confusing and complicated.
