I was just thinking we should get an AOCL of some kind put together. My idea was to have a much simpler tournament than a full out 'Champion's League,' as I have similar IC concerns as CH over fixture congestion. In the long term, I'll push for a very simple knockout cup with no group stage, and each nation being able to submit just one team. However, I'll certainly submit three teams here, based on the 5252 league finishes.

Gimnasia - 5252 KPFA League First Division Champion
City, Country: Gelendzhik, Kagdazka
Stadium: Gelendzhik Stadion (35,000 seats)
Nickname(s): The Gypsies, the Teal and Wisteria
Founded: 5201 (Pazhujebi calendar)
Manager: Zivan Zagorinski (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu)
Starting XI: GK Jimeno Arellano (Aguazul), RB Rkjhopxx Rhobkxmkk (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), CB Itziar Amiso (Astograth), LB Yuri Utepov (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), DM Lazhthuthezha Jujazhedhi (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), RM Ratin Beenum (Stachland), LM Ole Berghaus (Polar Islandstates), RW Leon Sartelli (Krytenia), ST Lyonya Filipov (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), LW Chalia Sajid (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu)

Once Gelendzhik's most popular club, Gimnasia fell upon hard times and for years flirted dangerously with a relegation that would have destroyed the team. In its struggles, it became a derelict shadow of its former self. The club's stadium, the Pit, once known as a fortress, was mostly empty on match day and was in complete disrepair anyway. However, ten years ago Unitopolitan newspaper tycoon Alakar Maxagonal bought the club and rebuilt everything. The Pit was abandoned in favor of the brand-new Gelendzhik Stadion which, while smaller, is a profitable venue. It has taken years, but slowly Gimnasia have put things back together piece by piece, until now, when they have become one of the best three clubs in the Federation. They have won titles in two out of the last three First Division seasons and have been victorious in two out of the last four Šenapatiam'ajat Vahavi (national cup) competitions.

Vulkan - 5252 KPFA League First Division Runner Up
City, Country: Gelendzhik, Kagdazka
Stadium: Yuzhniy Veter Stadion (51,000 seats)
Nickname(s): The Volcano, the Burgundy
Founded: 5222 (Pazhujebi calendar)
Manager: Šudhan Chahachim (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu)
Starting XI: GK Jenson Paulson (Saugeais), RB Eitan Andropov (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), CB Pirdassia Bawuah (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), CB Athaši Hu (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), LB Tykaraije Makureru (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), DM Inguma Sapano (Astograth), RM Yegor Obolensky (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), LM Peregrina Thašighi (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), AM Najazhghu Zeqhur (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), ST Leonid Shcherbina (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), ST Lucifer Andrea (Erathore)

The faithful fans of this historically lower-class team have embraced a rowdy and vocal supporters culture; if a player on the pitch is hit with a missile during First Division play, it's probably because his club are paying a visit to Vulkan. Verily, their stadium, Yuzhniy Veter Stadion, is without question the most difficult place in the league to play. The antics of Vulkan supporters often attract vociferous (and hypocritical) complaints from fans of other big clubs; their rowdiness allows other large misbehaving ultras groups to look angelic by comparison. Fans of smaller teams, however, are often secretly cheering for Vulkan as they see the team as a big club with a small club's heart. In 5246, the club hired the man who had won the last two First Division titles (with Juvapanam), Šudhan Chahachim. He changed the team's transfer policy and facilitated better relationships with players, and Vulkan are now amongst the league's three best teams.

FKM - 5252 KPFA League First Division Third Place
City, Country: CMZ Metropolitan Area, Kagdazka
Stadium: FKM Arena (69,000 seats)
Nickname(s): The People's Club, the Orange and Silver
Founded: 5203 (Pazhujebi calendar)
Manager: Nemešiabhi Ja (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu)
Starting XI: GK Baltabek Ignatyev (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), RB Natasha Klossovskaya (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), CB Aleksandr Onopko (Chetkosk), CB Zhavivi Qathif'ajuju (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), LB Toivo Ulyanov (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), RM Itzeder Unzueta (Astograth), CM Agoztar Gorstiaga (Astograth), CM Demyan Ilych (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), CM Eduard Winogradsky (Kagdazka and Pazhujebu), LM Egoitz Malgor (Astograth), ST Olec Dasra (Swartaz)

Representing the larger metropolitan area of Chadan-Murmansk-Zanduznyy (the sixth-largest such area in the Federation), FKM can boast the largest fan support in Kagdazka. Throughout the club's history, the club has believed itself to be a scrappy underdog without the luxuries of any significant financial capital, relying instead on a virile youth system, not transfers. This, along with the club's tradition of 'beautiful football,' is partially why they have become so loved throughout the left-leaning Kagdaz populace. However, this self-image is completely delusional, as the club has plenty of money and is constantly involved in big-money wheeling and dealing. FKM skeptics tell a story of a mob of childish, self-indulgent, and ultimately hypocritical prosthelytizers hell-bent on the national implementation of a specific and highly limited brand of anti-tactical Kamikaze-ism. This football ideology is often accused of being murkily tied to the leftist political ideology of the team's fans and the team itself.

QUOTE (Kagdazka @ Jan 13 2012, 02:38 AM)
In the long term, I'll push for a very simple knockout cup with no group stage, and each nation being able to submit just one team. However, I'll certainly submit three teams here, based on the 5252 league finishes.

Well, if we have 32 Nations, each team could submit just 1 smile.gif

In order to facilitate signups, I asked all nations to submit 3 teams for consideration. However, I can assure you, not all nations will have 3 teams participating smile.gif The '3 Teams' request was made not knowing how many nations would be interested. Once 11 nations expressed interest, the number of teams being accepted per nation started to drop from 3.

Ideally we would allow 1 per nation, but the reality is its a + system. Some teams based on my convoluted formula will have more teams involved than others.

My feel is that it will be more like 2 per nation, right now, but anyone else who signs up should still submit 3, just in case.

Since there's only one guaranteed entry and most of the space has already been filled up, we'll just send Oberliga champions Dynamo Dresden

1) Walkden F.C. (won the top tier league)

2) Seeing as all the other teams are either on holiday, or disinterested in playing, or badly need a rest, Ipeland will send Amateur Shield winners Fives Athletic.

Ang Grung's inaugural champions F.C. Futungur from the nations capital city, Futungur (Four Caverns) will be the attendees. Having won 81% of their matches this season, they blitzed the competition(-ish) finishing 6 points clear of F.C Krogangurnvos (Twisted Tree) and lifted the title.
Ang Grung
Two. Two.
