Myrtannian Team Announced!

As Nedalia has been selected to host the Second AO Bowl, and the Allied States of Myrtannia has entered said regional gridball tournament, the new Myrtannian team has officially announced. Made up of the best players from amongst the Myrtannian Gridball League and a few 'fillers' from the collegiate level, they may just be out there for the exercise. Nonetheless, the Myrtannia Suns will take the field against the best of AO Bowl II's Western Conference. Two of the players, WR Zulema Curleyhair and K Ha Esoimeme, are the first women to play in the MGL, and their outstanding on field achievements have earned them a place on the first national griball squad.

Their uniforms include a blue jersey with orange trim along the sleeves, orange numbers and names, and a patch of the Myrtannian flag just above the right breast area (the 'road' uniform has a white jersey with blue trim and orange numbers and letters outlined in the same blue). Along with this go orange trousers with blue stripes down either leg, and blue socks. The helmet will be white with the Myrtannian flag on either side.

And now, the roster for the Myrtannia Suns gridball team:

Offense 95
Defense 80

Head Coach: Hong Beebout

Offense:
QB: Korey Cellupica
RB: Leif Gonzalez
WR: Shon Bagu
WR: Warner Brentano
WR: Zulema Curleyhair
G: Winford Lanteigne
G: Jeramy Lalich
T: Elden Kaszinski
T: Malcom Ceronsky
C: Oswaldo Daughetee

Defense:
DL: Antione Curra
DL: Milan Kevan
OLB: Graig Hudes
OLB: Nathanael Paulseth
RILB: Malcom Alepin
LILB: Franklyn Lunderman
MLB: Wally Delbo
CB: Gaylord Ochalek
CB: Toney Netrosio
SS: Benedict Delbrocco
FS: Felton Gjesdal

Kicker: Ha Esoimeme

OOC: When did this rule come about? It was definitely not there in AO Bowl I. Whatever its not that hard 100 offense
75 defense.

It came in after AO Bowl I after several players supported the idea.

"Hey boss, have you seen this?"

Martyn Harris, Bettia's team boss tutted - he hated being disturbed whilst deep in thought trying to solve a children's sudoku puzzle. "What? What is it? This had better be good."

"Have you seen who we've been drawn against? Nedalia!"

"Really?"

"Yup. We gotta wait till matchday five though."

"Bummer. I fancy a good local derby. Ah well... let's see, if that's a three, than that one must be a nine... no wait.... ARGH!"

"Cocked it up again boss?"

"Shut yer face."

OOC: Bettia, the maximum defence/offense you can have is 100, and seeing how you need to be as offense minded as possible, I'll just consider you at 100/75. If you want to change it to something else, just tell me.

Friendly Rivalries All Around

Honsfield - With Nedalia set up as the hosts for AO Bowl II, and Matchday One right around the corner, the nation is buzzing at the prospect of the Eastern Conference matches that will be taking place between the Gridiron Lions, as they have become known, and some of their closest friends.

To start things off, it will be Sarzonia vs. Nedalia right here in Honsfield, at the newly constructed stadium, The Odyssey. While the Stars had a torrid time at the last AO Bowl, going 0-3 to the dismay of their fans. Nedalia, however, did suprisingly well, just missing out on the 2nd round, going 2-1. But anyone writing off Sarzonia will do so at their own peril, claims new head coach Joseph Ghandarooni.

"We all know what they are capable of. I dont care what theyre record was last time around, its Sarzonia. Theyre good at everything they do, and anybody who's going to write them of can do so at their own peril."

Another match that has the western half of Verdena drooling is, ofcourse, the Nedalia vs. Bettia match, due to take place on a potentially crucial Matchday Five.

"Obviously, thats a match we are looking forward to, but our concentration right now is Sarzonia. We have to take it step by step, game by game. We are the hosts, and the last thing we want to do is get off to bad start infront of our home crowd," commenteed Ghandarooni. "We have to come out and get the win, plain and simple. Out of 12 teams, only 4 are going to qualify to the knockout rounds. We have to make sure we're one them. Thats the target."
