In CE 1390, Ubundi was taken by the Ottoman Empire. After the Ottoman Empire's fall in World War I, on March 14, 1922, Ubundi gained its independence.

The Prime Minister serves the government as the "second in command" who will take over the presidency if the current president is not able to continue executing the position, similar to the United State's Vice President. The Prime Minister is elected by Parliament (see below) and appoints the head of the Representashi Hausi after the Senatii's approval.
SecretariesThe Secretaries are appointed by the President with the approval of the Parliament.
Legislative branchThe bicameral Parliament consists of the Senatii and Representashi Haus.
SenatiiUpper house with 24 seats. Members are elected every 3 years by popular vote when each province votes for 3 members. The 24 members then vote for the Speaker position.
Representashi HausiLower house with 400 seats. Members elected every 2 years by popular vote when each district (50 per province) votes for 1 member. The head of the Representashi Hausi is nominated by the Prime Minister and is approved by the Senatii.

Political Parties (largest first)
Liberal Party of UbundiThe Liberal Party of Ubundi (LPU) is led by Kefentse Pongwa. Comprised of mostly democrats, but some liberal republicans, the LPU is the largest party. Social welfare's and healthcare's large budget has been much the doing of the LPU.
Ubundian Capitalist PartyLed by well known economist Jay Maabade, the UCP economic beliefs are mostly liberal. Slightly smaller than the LPU, the UCP has long been a rival. The UCP's support of Ubundi's commerce is by far the greatest in Ubundi.
Green PartyOnce a minor party, in the past decade the Green Party's influence in Ubundi has skyrocketed under the leadership of Radhiya Gray. The Green Party proposal of raising the environment budget was approved, lifting the budget 38%. Being pro-environment and an extreme opposer of Global Warming, the Green Party has gained many Ubundian's support.
Party of Pious UbundiansThe PPU is the only major conservation party. Led by Howard Chipita, the PPU's support of the combination of church and state, as well as attempting to order Ubundi's schools to teach the ideas of their religion has lowered the public's support.
