Official resources say, that Starblaydia is ruled by the Lord Protector in quite a totalitarian way. There is some kind of “shadow democratic system” with several political parties, which in fact do not have much power as they and their representatives must follow orders given from the Lord Protector.
Our researchers would like to find out, what the role a minister in the council minister is. Are these ministers also only a part of the facades that should give the impression of a democracy or do they have any formal competences ? And, are the members of said council elected by the people or chosen by the Lord Protector ? |

If you are referring to this council, their role is to advise and aid the Lord-Protector in his benevolent rule of Starblaydia. They are chosen by Lord Starblayde himself.
The 'shadow democratic system', as you call it, is there to give the people something to vote for to run their provinces on a more day-to-day basis. |

Yes that was the council we meant.
Interessting though, that the people accept and participate these farce votes as their results obviously have no effect in the political landscape. |

There is a clear choice of candidates at any given election. The Praetoran Party, Workers' Party and Liberal Party are distinctly different and allow the Starblaydi people to choose precisely how their provinces are run in a day-to-day, hands-on, grass-roots style. |

Ah, we see that the Vilitan Antiparticulares are banned in Starbladia too. A wise decision, as this bunch only makes trouble in a nation ;-) |
