Lieutenant-General Ivo Manfred (Delesa Secret Police Chief)
Major Teddy Norbert (Delesa National Guard(Militia Units))

Today the Delesa Defence Committee ended the week long meeting and ended with a press conference.

General Gordan stood up from his seat at the long press table, surrounded by the other members of the Defence Committee.

"Hello and thank you from coming, first note, Prime Minister was here durring the meeting but has had to leave to attend political issues. Now, as you all know, the Defence Committee has been in a meeting for the past week over the new issues of the regional war. Being a fairly small nation in terms of population, we have all agreed that the Commonwealth will not be taking on a huge part in this war. But we have also finished orders that all men and women between the ages of 19-30 will be required to enlist in any government branch of service, including the National Guard, and Police Services. This action is known as 'Project Citizen Warriors'. We have planned that most militia units will probaly never see combat, but to restrict everyone from joining the Guard, there are only several thousand spots. Also regular police officers that dont volunteer, will most likely not see combat either." Gordan picked up the glass of water beside his stack of files and binders, and took a long refreshing slip. He placed it back down and started again, "The Committee also has come to the conclution that more government funds will be diverted from social programs into the Armed Forces. As well as new programs set up to better prepare ourselves from the unknown. New factories are being built and funds given to the Armed Forces armed manufacturer, D3 Industries. Our biggest project from the meeting is the joint effort from several branchs of the Armed Forces coming together to create a new upgraded, state-of-the-art missile project named Operation Sharpe Forge. New missile silos are beinf planned and equipment sent out to the sites as we speak. The locations have been with held due to national security. Also our Space Program has begun to create new missile guided space projectiles and satellite battle maps and launch pads for space satellite missiles, capable of hitting any target in the world with in 15 minutes. The government has also issued the order of thousands of soldiers from our State-Clients, and Colonies to be shipped here for training and posting. As well as the The United Kingdom of Azazia, a long time ally of our Commonwealth, has offered some suport in means of defence, which has been accepted by Prime Minister Lester Geddie. So that basicly wraps things up for this time being. More details are to be released as well as new reports on the Armed Forces. Thank you, and Stand United!" With that, reporters stood up and yelled out questions pushing and pulling in an attempt to reach the table. But all the questions where met with General Gordan ushering out the Committee members and a single wave at the reporters before he closed the private access door, which MPs defended from to on coming waves of urgent reporters.

The Government of Prime Minister Lester Geddie has begun to rebuild and create a more modern airforce, first with the lending of aircraft and pilot commanders, and now with the purchase of her first most modern aircraft in one transaction, the Commonwealth will strive to be a modern, competitive airforce.

Corerea Isles
05:31 am

A single salvo was fired from the forward guns of the HMDS. Leo, a Leo Capital Class Battleship, the pride and flagship of the Delesa 1st Fleet. The massive shells roared towards the shore, erupting on contact, creating a brilliant orange shape, quickly disappearing as fast as it appeared, and then the rest of the fleet started, including newly purchased aircraft beginning bombing runs, fighters providing support from possible enemy aircraft. After a deafening 45 minutes of ear throbbing explosions, the assault began. Amphibious personal carriers and hovercraft rushed to the shores. The front gates of the hovercraft dropping down to reveal a force of infantry and main battle tanks. Admiral Edmund Moore stood on the bridge of the HMDS. Leo, watching the battle unfold through a pair on binoculars. He watched as the infantry rushed the bunkers, tossing grenades, the tanks blowing any foreign obstacle in its path to hell.

“Just brilliant, send in the second wave.” he ordered not taking his eyes of the battle. Several larger ships started towards the beach, the aircraft flying close support. Helicopters begun to take off from the aircraft carrier and landing pads on the ships, Apache helicopters making attack runs on enemy locations, large Chinooks, Black Hawks, and Griffin helicopters made runs towards the shore, landing farther inland, dropping of the troops and returning for more cargo. Cruise missiles took off from the decks from the fleet, launching at targets even farther inland, then the Admiral heard the report he had been waiting from the entire time.

“Beach is secure sir.”

“Excellent, send in the third wave. I’m heading for shore in the next helicopter.”

“Sir there is a Sea King with a full tank on the Leo here sir.”

“Perfect, Captain, your in charge.” The Admiral left the bridge, pulling out a cigar out of his pocket. He shoved it into his mouth but didn’t bother to light it. What he just saw was just an exercise, the Isles of Corerea were some islands off the west coast of the province of Quebec; used for this purpose, practice. Each fleet does it couple of times a year, but never with air support from winged aircraft, and never on such a large scale, today there was 4 fleets here, each assaulting one of the 4 islands. And this was the 8th time this year. Minister Gordan Brigman had really stepped up the training. And Edmund was sure that forces all over the nation were training, live fire or just war games. But it was also to test the new equipment under more and more stress, like the HMDS. Leo hadn’t really shot off her rounds in angry yet, as many of the aircraft or newer fleet vessels. The ones that had seen action, the last time being the Kreatvye war, were now pulling training duty and simple patrols. But at least the United Navy had several experienced officers.
