How to Acquire a Homeland:

1) To Acquire a homeland, you must reply in this thread noting the location you which to inhabit. A Homeland will not be granted unless you first post a little something about your nation. - http://www.3wideracing.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=213 - http://www.3wideracing.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=152 -

2) When responding in this thread, you must decide which area of the map you would like to settle. Simply tell us which area you would prefer to settle into uing the handy numbers. You can see which continent is which with our also-handy http://www.3wideracing.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=185 )

3) Nations in breach of the http://www.3wideracing.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=95 will not be granted land until after they have updated their flag.

How to Expand / Conquer Existing Land (Under Review):

To prevent excess land being taken on the Regional Map by anyone, The following guidelines should be followed before a Nation acquires new land via expansion or colonization through a puppet.

a ) If Expansion is un-oppossed, an approved RP will be required detailing the discovery, acquisition and future usage of the new lands; Before the land will be granted.

b ) If Expansion is opposed, Both sides will have to prevent their case to the council who will make a decision, at which point, an approved RP will be required detailing the discovery, acquisition and future usage of the new lands; Before the land will be granted.

If you are going to have a puppet, it is preferred that you get your own account for the puppet, use the account, and if the puppet requires land that the land either be small and adjacent to your own land (if there is an open space), or a small portion of your current land (ie: Fmjphoenix, Starblaydia, Bedistan, Oliverry, Abattoir), or an island off the coast of your land (Vilita, Crystilakere)

Map version 20050905 BETA is now up. A bunch of ex-nations are gone, a few expansions have been done, and a couple of new nations (Ratlea, Commerce Heights) are in.

The new eastern extension of the map probably needs some explanation - basically, while Commerce Heights itself has moved to AO, it remains connected by land to its former region, the western part of which is pictured for completeness. That area cannot be claimed, as it is not actually part of AO.

Just as a note: expect a new map update sometime before the end of the week; Khazaron, I'll get you your closeup before week's end as well.

On a somewhat related note:

Noting that Terranordalis is the region Commerce Heights recently moved here from, for this to make sense geographically (http://www.thirdgeek.com/chmap-ao.png), the nation between Commerce Heights and Imminent Implosion, namely Tingitana, would need to move here as well. As it turns out, that is a trivial task, Tingitana happening to be a puppet of mine; however, that would give me three nations in the region. Are there any objections to this (particularly looking for input from Vilita, him being the founder and all)?

Milchama is a nation of almost all former soldiers and war fanatics. The nation's name means war in Hewbrew and the nation itself lives up to the name involving itself regularly in conflicts that are none of its business. With the best military in the region as well Milchama usually can control the region's policy.

The people of Milchama are not bad people despite the government pressuring and the almost spartan society of which they live in Milchama's citizens have some culture and enjoy history and sport. The majority of the population as Jewish and religious. While Shabbat is not always kept, Kashrut and Synagogue attendance at least once a week is considered socially important.

I want a part if not all of land 18. If i cannot get all of it I want the part nearer to Xile. Milchama has a little bit of coast and some marsh land. It is also quite mountanous with nomads living in the mountain regions (most notably the Milchamian Mongols who have a baseball and football team in their biggest city).

The solid orange area is currently unclaimed land, while the striped area would incorporate part of North-Eastern Druida.

You haven't actually done anything. The sum total of your actions has been:
  • Tell your Army Commander to go kick some ass
  • Tell the same commander he doesnt need to use the whole army
  • Demand Crys stops mining on the island
  • Demand that the island be coloured orange

You've actually done - as in Roleplayed-Actions - nothing that warrants turning over the island to you. I see no invasion, no bombings, no forces doing anything. Plus there's the whole thing with Sarzonia threatening you if you do actually go ahead with the invasion. No way have you sorted out enough things to own that bit of land.

Read, for instance, my 'Nemyan Situation' or 'Legalite Situation' threads of old to see how i expanded. See how Nedalia has got that bit of Latiao territory through their war, or any other expansion that's happened on AO.

It's not difficult, just roleplay the thing.

If it was up to me, no-one would expand without a nation having ceased at all. Nemya had ceased before I took them over, as had Legalese before myself and TLC carved it up. Expanding just for the sake of it because there's empty space next to you pisses me off something chronic. There's zero difference other than the fact you can't be bothered to RP properly and other people can.

And yes, I do insist.

Following on from discussions in the http://www.3wideracing.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=842 thread: Bedi, can you chop up land 18 into somewhere between 4 and... um, 'a large ammount of' seperate little nations so that it makes colonisation of that land easier?

A bit for lamoni at the western tip, a bit for latao-nyssa over in the east, plus four or five (ish) other lands of varying descriptions in there too.

Posted by: Bettia Oct 26 2005, 01:41 AM
Full instructions are given on the first post to this thread, as well as the current map. Basically, just pick a spot on the map and come up with a half-decent 'moving-in' RP.

Posted by: Khazaron Oct 27 2005, 01:07 PM
Khazaron would like to make official our request for the land that was formerly occupied by the United Kingdom of Rhiam, Aldam and Rhoss. (In the Roman Expansion thread) I will finish posting the roleplay for it later today or tomorrow. Also, I'd like to take this time to ask if anyone has any problems with me making this expansion. Thanks all.

Andossa Se Mitrin Vega requests land on the small island in the north of the region
#20, if possible.

We're not expandng, though. We're contracting. Back to the area shown as Druida on http://www.dirt-racing.com/3wide/sites/ao/maps/map10.jpg.

The anti-expansion (contraction?) is currently being played out in the thread "Tensions rise in Druida."

On that note, I'd quite like to get rid of the bit of my territory that used to be half of Legalese, as I've not integrated any of it into my nation at all. Note that I'd still want to keep the blank bit in between myself and legal on the map Druida just linked to, but as for my half of it, have it open for someone else.

On jolt, Dru and i were talking about a possible contraction in Druida. Seeing how i don't want to give up my border with dru, I'd have to either stop expansion into 12 (before not moving for a LONG time) to take some parts of Druida to keep mass-alcolholism alive in the hills of Druida, or I leave my border with Druida to get 12... what to do?

Well, occupying the former Druidan space would take a lot of rebuilding work. The entire is a wreckage patrolled by members of the Free Alcoholic Army at the moment. Not a place you'd want to have in your country at the moment.

In reference to Star's "giving up" of Northern Legalese, I would like to re-claim it, having resurrected Legalese (and letting Ratlea cease). Using the map drawn by Star for the RP of TLC taking the southern half (and poorly photoshopping it enough to work), I guess the new borders would look something like this:

user posted image

So. Legalese returns, effectively as half of its old self, and if he's willing, Star and I will work out an RP for it (or I'll just unilaterally do one, though I'd rather work it out with him)

P.S. And, whether TLC wants to or not, he can keep the warzone of the "Legal Republic" tongue.gif

Map updated 2005–12–05: http://www.thirdgeek.com/aomap.png
  • Added Andossa Se Mitrin Vega [ASMV].
  • Added Latao-Nyssa [LN].
  • Added Imminent Implosion [Im].
  • Added Legalese [Le].
  • Added Lontorika [Lo], puppet of Commerce Heights.
  • Did not add Milchama due to lack of RP.
  • Contracted Druida.
  • Expanded Lamoni into Dartace.
  • Changed Com to CH. Did not change Chacor’s abbreviation from Ch. I hope you can tell upper and lowercase letters apart…
  • Expanded Commerce Heights into Tarraconesis and Lukeonia.
  • Did not expand Khazaron—where is Rhiam, Aldam, and Rhoss exactly?
  • Did not expand Falcania due to lack of RP.
  • Made some rather obvious changes to the map’s appearance to allow easier maintenance.
  • Removed Ratlea.
  • Removed Diamindokere.
  • Removed Aquiliana (or whatever Aq is—it could be Aquilla, for all I know tongue.gif ).
  • Added three claimable spaces in Paripana (the eastern portion of the map).

In order to preserve my sanity (if I have any after all of those changes tongue.gif ), a link to the corresponding RP must be provided for any new proposed change to the map.

If I remember correctly the UKRAR was the just west of the land I have now and just north of Nova Roma. I believe it was basically the area of land jutting out in the northeast area of the land just north of Nova Roma, including the three islands to the north I think, at least that's what I got from UKRAR's old factbook in the national information forum. I tried finding an old map that had his boundaries on it and couldn't.

And again, is it possible that I get a close up of Nojika? Please...?

...Thank you!
