We are at Port Scadock in Western NEWI Cefn Druids with two of their most prolific scientific minds, Professor Trevor McConnell of the University of Cefn and Docter Richard Llewellyn of Graymouth ChemindusUniversity.

McConnell: "But I still don't know why the government are sending us. They've never been interested in this kind of thing before."

Llewellyn: "It's to try and prove to the rest of the region that we're a force to be reckoned with at things other than sport."

McConnell: "But we are! We make the best cheeses and pies Atlantian Oceania has to offer."

Llewellyn: "Something that counts for something. The government heard that Xile were heading out there, but we're supposed to be stealing a march on them because we're closer."

McConnell: "Well, if it means that much, why doesn't Starblaydia or Aquilliana go there?"

Llewellyn: "Look, it wasn't my decision, alright"

McConnell: "Alright, alright! Look, have you remembered everything?"

Llewellyn: "Of course!"

McConnell: "Test tubes?"

Llewellyn: "I've packed the test tubes."

McConnell: "Probes?"

Llewellyn: "Got them."

McConnell: "Super computer type thingy that goes 'ping'?"

Llewellyn: "I've bought the one that goes 'bong' as well."

McConnell: "By jove, you have got this thing well prepared. Wait, what about the crew?"

Llewellyn: "We haven't just gained a hundred and fifty stalkers for no reason, you know. That's them, behind us."

McConnell: "But they don't look very crew like."

Llewellyn: "And how exactly do you look "crew like"?"

McConnell: "Um... I don't know... anyway, are we all ready to board."

Llewellyn: "Of course. Are we nearly at the ship yet? We've been logging this gear about for three hours, now."

McConnell: "Near the ship? I thought you were in charge of hiring the ship?"

Llewellyn: "I was never in charge of hiring the ship, I left that to you."

McConnell: "But you said you were sorting everything?"

Llewellyn: "Yes, except the ship, that was your part."

McConnell: "So does this mean we don't have a ship between us, then?"

Llewellyn: "It looks like it."

McConnell: "So we all have to go home then?"

Llewellyn: "I guess so."

...and with that, they all trudge away from the docks with their equipment.

McConnell "...and I'd programmed that computer to go 'ping' especially, too..."
