Conventional short form: Cafundéu

Citizens: name for the citizen from Cafundéu is "Cafundelense".

Population: due to the high taxes put by the government, called the "fee for making a census of population in the country", no proper institute ever did a good evaluation of the country's population. The WA says there are more than six billion people in Cafundéu, but even the mother of the WA leader doesn't believe in this.

The States:

Juta - state located in the centre of the country's seaside, it has a curious division: on the west side, there are the seaside cities, and some of the biggest cities of the country (as, for example, the country capital Cafundó do Juta, or neighbour cities like Tijhus). This part is extremely developed, and can be considered the richest part of the country. On east, cities with rural domination (especially Elville, Flores and Compos), known for huge production of food, but few development. Its capital is Cafundó do Juta, and Prince Hector Van Tocco (former Emperor and father of the current Empress) is the current Governor.

Lasft - if considering the state as a whole, Lasft is surely the most developed of the country, home of countless big companies (especially Globo Multimedia and Banco Econômico). Its also the home of some important tourist destinations in the country, due to the fact that it has a big seaside, and has some paradisiac beaches. The biggest cities of the state are Lasft and Guará, being Lasft also considered the country's "capital of sports". Its capital is Lasft, and the current Governor is the economist Renan Sanz.

Coast - probably the least developed state of the country, it involves the entire south seaside of the country. There is only one real big city in this state, the capital Submiria. The Coast State also has the Ilha Eremita, an island famous for being the home of many endangered species of animals. Unfortunately, it lately became a place for tourists to go, something that can harm the environment there. The current Governor is the IEGA University rector Fabiana Reggolar.

Old Cities - curiously, the Old Cities State isn't where the roots of the country are. But this is where the first cities of the country were founded, especially São José, Abadia and Penderia. This state has historical importance, but its cities aren't much important for the country's economy (with the only exception maybe being Abadia). But it has some important universities, especially in the area of medicine, in São José. Its capital is Penderia, and the current Governor is the popular samba singer Matheus Gonzaga, known as "Theuzão".

Central - the last place to make part of the current Cafundéu country, this state is surrounded by mountains, especially in its north (Serra Cabral). But there are important mines in this state, which makes it important for the country economy. Curiously, it is the state with the biggest relation of population/area, mostly due to having the big cities Central City, Carandirú City and Lux. Carandirú City also is the home of the country's main prison. The capital of the state is Central City, and the current Governor is the Counsellor-Minister of Defence, the General Gabriel Arcoverde, as it often happens to this state to have a Governor related with the police or army.

Espinal - a small state, is often forgotten by the politicians, and left abandoned when it matters to improvements in infrastructure or in social issues. Due to this, is the biggest centre of the movements against the Monarchy, and some important leaders that defend the Republic in Cafundéu have extremely popularity in this state. Also, it has the most popular seaside city of Cafundéu, loved by tourists all around the world: Porto Lacruz. The capital is Espinal, and the current Governor is the republican leader Oliver Derrod, known as Doutor Careca.

Titã - studies say that the territory of the Titã state is where humans first settled in what is modern Cafundéu, due to not imposing major terrain difficulties to travellers. Nowadays, it is the biggest state of the country in size, and the most "multicultural" too, being where differents cultures of the world can have their space, which leads to some cities having some curious traditions. Although the State is big, it doesn't have many big centres, the most famous being the capital Astari, known for its casinos. The current Governor of the State is the Counsellor-Minister of Communications, Ana Maria Ruiz.

Dunboor - coldest state of the country, due to this is the state with the lowest relation of population/area. Not very important for the country's economy too, but it is known as being the home of Cafundelense arts. Its capital, Dunboor, has many priceless museums and theatres of the country, and has some huge festival of arts, being a popular destination for tourists in winter too. The current Governor of the State is the lawyer Fabrício Campos Machado.

Country origins:

Cafundéu wasn't a country "discovered", so the origins of its population aren't so certain. What is known is that humans were living in what is nowadays Estresse Intenso, being divided in diverse tribes, during the pre-historic age. These tribes were mostly nomadical ones, so they didn't establish themselves in one or other specific place to develop villages. But, with the growth of the population, these people started to move west, to what's now Cafundéu. This ended dividing these tribes in two groups, as they were unable to surpass Serra Cabral (and therefore enter to what's now the Central State). One that went north (to what's now the Titã State), and other that went south (to what's now the Old Cities State). The north group continued their nomadical lives, while the south group estabilished the villages of that region. It took some time to the members of the north tribes to estabilish themselves in the place.

After hundreds of years, while the people from the south seemed firmly estabilished in their region, the tribes of the north decided to surpass the Serra Cabral to discover new places, places that were known as the "Cafundó" (a Portuguese name for some place that is so far away that no one exactly what is there). This marked the expansion of these tribes to the whole remainder of what's now the Cafundelense country, and what linked the north and south tribes, in a peaceful way.

Extra Background Detail: The Monopoly of Cafundéu is a country where its leaders want to get money at any price. Its government is composed of the Emperor and many counsellors, one for each subject. The current ruler of the country is the Empress Alice Van Tocco, the fourth monarch of the country. About the Counsellor-Ministers, there are twenty of them, but only the Head Counsellor cannot be fired by the Empress at any time, so being the only one who can argue with her. Currently, the Head Counsellor of Cafundéu is the Counsellor-Minister of Health Said Al-Jasseb.

Cafundéu is a huge country, so it's divided in States. There are 8 states, and they're divided in small regions. There are more than 80 small regions in the country. Each state is controlled by a governor. They can do many things that they want, but they're controlled by the Emperor and by the counsellors, although some of the counsellors are governors. The citizens from each state are as much patriotic for their states as for their country.

The people in Cafundéu enjoy a life with many eletronic products and tecnology, but if they want good education or healthcare they need to go after private companies. The country also has a well-prepared army and police force. Nothing too absurd happens in Cafundéu. But please note that in Cafundéu you'll have to pay for almost everything. You'll have to pay for the water, food, transport, products, to walk in the road, to receive an answer about something, to complain, to thank, and many other things. Cafundéu is also looking to profit in any competition, so any country with good economy is free to invest here or buy some of our products. Drugs are prohibited and the laws are very strict. The prisons are horrible and the prisoners live in bad conditions, but they have the right to watch the games in Carandirú City for free. Cafundéu's press is also very annoying, as they'll make everything to get some news. The government is an Empire, divided in states. The Emperor has many powers, but he divides them with the Counselor-Ministers (there are 20 of them). But the only Counselor-Minister that can disagree with the Emperor is the Head Counselor (because all the other Counselor-Ministers can be fired by the Emperor at any time). Also, as Cafundéu is a big country, it has been divided in 8 states, and each state has its Governor and Senators. Elections happen in Cafundéu, and the people elect the Governors, Senators, Deputies, Mayors, Aldermen and the Head Counselor.

About travelling, it's very easy to find planes going to Cafundéu. But, once inside the country, poor people will find many difficulties in travelling. To use the highways, you need to pay. To use the streets, you need to pay. About food, there are many restaurants that serve different kinds of food. But the common Cafundelense usually eats a lot of rice, beans, meat (especially this, visit a Cafundelense "churrascaria" to see it) and potato-related food. Criminality is average. You also will have to hear many beggars asking for help as you walk on the street.

Estresse Intenso's factbook:

Country Name:
Conventional long form: The Liberal Republic of Estresse Intenso
Conventional short form: Estresse Intenso

Government type: Democratic Federalist Republic (in theory, in the reality it's a semi-anarchy, with the proper government having no power).

Capital: Acropolis

Official language: Portuguese

Citizens: name for the citizen from Estresse Intenso is "Cidadão".

Population: probably a few millions more than Cafundéu.

Background Detail: Estresse Intenso used to be a part of Cafundéu, its eastern part, where also were located the roots of the Cafundelense population. But, when the country started to become powerful, the Estresse Intenso region (former states Acropolis, Neblina, Terreiro, Ilha Lorni and Aldeias) received much less attention from the government (at that time a republic) than the west part. When the President Albieri Van Tocco was chosen by the people to become an Emperor, the leaders from the Estresse Intenso state got organized to declare their independence, defending the democracy. Although the Empire denied to recognize the country in the beginning, no war or major conflicts happened, and soon Estresse Intenso had its independence officialized.

Differently from Cafundéu, Estresse Intenso is an absurd place. In every corner, you'll find riots, prophets saying that the world will end soon, crazy people walking on the streets, cars being exploded, huge holes on the ground that probably lead to Hell, big helicopters sending the most different types of messages to the people. No police. No proper government to contain the people. A true chaos. The only place where the people can find protection is inside the office buildings, huge skyscrapers controlled by Cafundelense companies estabilished in Estresse Intenso. These office buildings have security guards that defend the place and negotiate with the gangs that "work" on the streets. These normal people that decide to live in the office buildings have to work to "pay" for their stay, food and security. In fact, there is no money in Estresse Intenso. This situation comes close to slavery. Because of that, the office buildings have some influence in the country.

Inside the Landau Institute, things are different. The Institute is a place where the people that succumbed to the stress (or became crazy in the middle of the chaos) go to get a treatment. The doctors there are excellent, and the patients well-treated, receiving attention and the help necessary. A much better and calm place to live, the Landau Institute is a paradise in the middle of Hell. The doctors control the place, but they don't live in better conditions than the patients.

The president exists... only this. He lives inside an office building without doing anything all day.
