Bostopia is a nation deep in culture and tradition, and is a nation who's populace would prefer to keep to that. As such, immigration is at a minimum, political rights are low (the Imperial Famly holds absolute veto power), with the elected Government a one-party state. However, civil rights for citizens are unusually high for what is basically a nation with an elected dictatorship and non-appointed Head of State.
The citizens of Bostopia are very keen on sports, and the outdoors. The Bostopian football side, though taking a break from international competition, has reached two World Cup Semi-Finals, and won the Cup of Harmony once. The country's nationalised Grand Prix team, Bostopia F1, has won one Drivers and one Constructors Championship, occuring in the same season.
Outdoors-wise, Bostopians believe in "getting back to nature", hence the states of Fenton and Glenrock having a policy of mandatory nudity, with Glenrock seen as more extremist, as most motorised or electoral pieces, be they machinery or entertainment are banned, along with anything covering the body which is not hair or rough jewellery, such as a necklace with a wooden or stone pendant. |
