Government
Voting System:
Monarch - The monarch is given a vote of confidence after three months of rule, then annually on the same date every year. No Schiavone monarch has ever lost a vote of confidence, but if one does, the next in line to the throne would replace them.
Parliament - The parliament has two chambers. The upper house has two elected representatives from all islands and an elected speaker from Kingsbury. The lower house is voted for by districts sized by population.
Armed Forces
Schiavonia does not really have any armed forces. If an army were ever formed for some reason, they would only have boats and pointy sticks to fight with.
Overseas
Schiavonia still has close links to some nations in it's former region of the league, most notably Rejistania. (Lots of immigrants escaping the karelan regime there came to Schiavonia.) Schiavonia's only remaining outpost in The League is on the miniscule island of Race Track, which is occupied by members of the Schiavone Football Federation.
History(short)
1 - After various unions and alliances between groups of islands in the area, Winston of Sedgefield manages to unite all forty-six islands. Winston becomes first King of Schiavonia.
91 - After just floating around the seas for a bit, Schiavonia winds up in FIFA.
95 - King Francesco introduces competitive sport to Schiavonia, a move that unites the islands more than anything before or since.
102 - Schiavonia's football team, earning the nickname of The Sloths from performances at the Baptism of Fire tournament in Rejistania, enter their first World Cup.
120 - Along with The Islands of Qutar, hosts World Cup 30. The usual party atmosphere around the Sloths escalates.
129 - King Francesco passes away. His son, Alfredo, takes the throne.
131 - Alfredo bans sport once again, saying that it restricts how friendly Schiavones can be to visitors.
132 - Upon returning to The League from World Cup 33 in Az-cz, the Schiavone football team take up residency on the island of Race Track, where the team played during the previous year's sports ban. Meanwhile, the rest of the nation has floated of again, heading towards Atlantian Oceania.
133 - Current year in Schiavonia. The football team still have not returned home from the World Cup.

Sports
Schiavonia's most popular sports are Football, Cricket and Pin The Tail On The Donkey. The Schiavone Football League has had five seasons, of which three involved teams playing in The League of The League. However, now that the nation has moved, the teams will play their next season back in the Schiavone top flight, SchiavOne.

Voting System:
Leader - The leader is selected by the one before, the choice ratified by the people on an annual basis. This tends to be a formality, but if not, or if two-thirds of the residents on the island sign a petition, a national election is held to find a new leader.
Parliament - The parliament (which consists of everyone on the island meets on The Field every day at 6pm, where the leader speaks from Speaker's Point to the people of the island. The Leader can also call emergency meetings throughout the day.

140 - Schiavonia's greatest sporting achievement to date, finishing third at World Cup 35.
148 - Schiavonia wiped of the map as the islands are invaded by a stray shipment of circus animals. Few escape and survive, including the World Cup 37 football squad, who are forced to leave the tournament as part of the emergency.
193 - Carlos Cueto, a former international footballer repatriated in Cafundéu, contacts other members of the old Schiavone squad to live on an island and enter the up coming World Cup 49. Modern Schiavonia comes into existence.
199 - Schiavonia surprisingly qualifies for World Cup 50 using a squad of children from the island. The next year, they make the Quarter-Finals of the tournament.
200 - Carlos Cueto passes away while at the World Cup in Krytenia. Football coach Kenny Sanderson IV becomes leader.
Sports
Schiavonia's most popular sports are Football, Cricket, Hide and Seek and Pin The Tail On The Donkey. The Schiavone Football Federation are considering restarting the Schiavone Football League as the sport is hugely popular on the island, despite it's relatively small population.
