Ban nuclear weapons
A resolution to slash worldwide military spending.

Description: Considering that it is duty of the UN to defend the rights of the world-wide population

Considering that is duty of the UN to establish the minimums criteria of respect of the Heart ecosystem

Considering that is duty of the UN to maintain and to promote the peace between the nations

Considering that Science and History have demonstrated beyond every doubt the danger constituted by nuclear weapons for the world-wide population, the peace between the nations and the survival of the Heart ecosystem.

The United Nations Declares:

1. All the nations that belong to the UN have to dismantle their nuclear weapons within the maximum time of 5 years from the approval of this resolution.
2. All the govenments programs on nuclear weapons shall be immediately cancelled and the fund to they assigned shall be spent for the operations of dismantling of the nuclears arsenals.
3. The elimination of the nuclear material will not be able to happen through the sale of the armaments to nations that do not belong to the UN or to private organizations.
4. An appropriate commission will establish the modalities of dismantling of the nuclear armaments; all the states members will have the duty to respect them.
5. The UN will finance the dismantling of the nuclear arsenals of the states members that will demonstrate not to have sufficient resources to make it
6. The UN reserves the right to verify the happened disarmament and to endorse the nations that will not respect the terms of this resolution.

I say no. Nations have nuclear arsenals for their own safety, and responsible nations know that nuclear weapons are of the last resort. If this somehow passes, I will resign from the UN.

Even our government doesn't support this one.



Although we hope eventually that such a resolution will someday come to pass in RL.
