I agree that it should not be in their jurisdiction to legislate on this matter, and would look forward to seeing/proposing one for submission. In this case, the resolution encourages member states to enact policies supporting the concept of self-defense. Therefore, this vote really comes down more to the question of whether the NSUN endorses the concept of self-defense as a legal justification to certain crimes (most notably those resulting in a homicide, etc.). I'd personally expect my fellow neighbors to vote based on their domestic support of such a policy, since this is a non-binding issue.
PS: As delegate, even though you do not support the resolution, you will vote with the preference of the region, correct?
