AOCL Final site bid
Tiger Stadium (cap: 75,900) Gemsbrook, FD, West Guiana
Tiger Stadium is by all means the largest stadium in West Guiana by both sheer size and and capacity, the stadium is located in downtown Gemsbrook on the north-west side of the St. Johns River. It is conveniently located across the street from the Embassy Row district, thus providing many ambassadors easy and quick travel to the AOCL final.
The stadium was built in 1943 and was built using mostly wood, with the outside entrance of being brick facade. In 1967 a fire destroyed the interior of the stadium, leaving only the surrounding brick walls. It was then demolished leaving only the front entrance, taking two years it was finally reopend in time for the 1970 U of Gemsbrook football season(american).
Today the stadium hosts many sporting events, along with political rallies and music concerts. Along with the U. of Gemsbrook it is also home to Gemsbrok United of the National Premier Soccer League, Gemsbrook Capitals of the National Lacrosse League. It was the championship site for the recent World Lacrosse Championships 22.
