(OOC: the years used in this are dated in Legalese years, which are better explained in my wiki page. All you'll need to know for this is that the current year is 3, and any dates referred to a n Tiberius are dates during the "occupation" of Legalese by Starblaydia, which spanned for 10 NS years)

About Vanessa Cappaverde:

Age: 37
Appearance: 5'8", slender figure that exudes presence, without being overpowering. Blonde hair, blue eyes (with a dark tint).
Education: B.A Public Relations (Minor Political Science), Layton College (Numalia); M.A. International Relations, University of Newton (Francopolis).
Mini bio: Vanessa has had public relations-type work written all over her since the beginning. Graduating from Layton College with a major in Media Relations and a minor Political Science, Ms. Cappaverde moved on to the University of Newton in Francopolis, where she also worked for the city's media relations office. After recieving her Masters from U of N in 1 Tiberius, she became an assistant to the media relations director. In her capacity, she dabbled in everything from speechwriting to handling the occasional press conference, earning the nickname "The Big Smooth-Over".

She helped out on the election campaign of now-Speaker of the Assembly James Wilson in his mayoral campaign in 6 Tiberius, serving as the media liason. After Wilson was elected, she was appointed as the local relations liason, putting her in charge of dealing with the other Legalese cities, as there was no central government in the wake of Starblaydi occupation. She would hold this position until the formalization of the Legalese government, when she was appointed by Chancellor Robinson (at Wilson's urging) to the role of UN Delegate.

Personal Info: Not much is said of Cappaverde's personal life. Her life seems to be mostly devoted to her work, with no sign of any serious relationships. Her largest loyalty, on a personal level, seems to be to Wilson, though professionally, her devotion is truly to her work.

oh, yeah, do feel free to ask IC and OOC questions here, please. It's clear that the role of UN Delegate requires both.

What are the main goals that a Legalese UN Delegate would focus on?

Our goals would be twofold:

1) Offering more information to the fellow delegates on resolutions brought to the floor. As part of accepting the regional delegacy, we will work to be active in the NS UN Forum, using the discussion and debate on resolutions that make it to a vote, so that we can provide arguments on both sides of the resolution, and encourage a more informed choice than simply by the text of the document itself.

2) Encourage and facilitate the drafting of possible resolutions to the UN from an AO nation. As the delegate, I will make it my responsibility to help draft proposals suggested by our members into workable resolutions, which can then be brought to the floor. If any AO nation has an idea they'd like to see become a possible UN Resolution, I will work to help achieve that goal.
