Due to recent instability in the capital, the Foreign Ministry must advice all embassy staff and foreign nations to leave Manhattan Prime for the time being.

Foreign Ministry of the Free Republic of Lamoni

To: Any surviving member of President Cuthbert's government

The Free Republic has reacted with horror to the coup attempt in your nation, and would be willing to commit military forces to aid the rightful Cuthbert government in retaining the governmental power that the voters of Manhattan Prime have given them.

Signed,

Tanya Ley
Foreign Minister
Free Republic of Lamoni

Although I have no authorisation or contact with the President, I much beseech the Lamonian government to send whatever rapid response forces they can spare, in order to stabalise the situation.

My knowledge of the military situation is patchy. The Manhattan Police Department are heavily engaged throughout the city with small but heavily armed Pro-Dreygo gangs. Arms range from handguns to submachine guns and some RPGs. Our police usually do not carry firearms, and so are relying on small stores of Riot and SWAT gear.

In addition news reports show the 14th Manhattan Armoured Division and the 2nd Manhattan Infantry Division, stationed near the capital, have gone over to the Coup plotters.

I can give you no more than basic military readouts:

A Standard Mechanised Infantry Division:

20,000 Infantrymen, with Praetonian L63's
150 LY4 Wolfhound tanks
300 M2 Bradley IFVs
75 M109A6 Paladin Howitzer+ 75 Paladin resupply vehicles
75 Apache attack helicopters
75 UH-60 Blackhawk Utility helicopters
1500 HMMWV Jeep
1500 5-ton trucks

A Standard Armored Division:

20,000 Infantrymen, with Praetonian L63's

150 M2 Bradley IFVs
75 M109A6 Paladin Howitzer+ 75 Paladin resupply vehicles

You had to bring this thing to Jolt didn't you? I hate the jolt forums with an almighty, all-consuming passion.

Posted by: Lamoni Mar 20 2008, 10:32 PM
OOC: my response will be in the Jolt forums.

Cause everyone and their mother can see it. I like my RP to be entirely region-based, as I've built up an established rapport with these people, rather than the faceless hordes of the global Jolt forums.

Fair point, though I'm keeping the RP closed to people I'm not familiar with.

Heya MP

Feel free to tell me where to shove those 2 agents if you feel so inclined. It also gives a chance to give a different perspective over what is happening.

Posted by: Manhattan Prime Mar 23 2008, 07:36 AM
No, that's a very good idea - I'll have them roped into a few Unity events

Posted by: Bazalonia Mar 25 2008, 07:06 AM
Feel Free to give them their cover names that don't stand out, fairly common Manhattanite names but not names that are so common that you're just asking trouble.

MP, it hurts my neck having to look at your map sideways in order to read it.

Posted by: Manhattan Prime Mar 26 2008, 10:30 AM
Ahh, a good laugh., that's just how my scanner did it - save to harddisk and rotate in your picture viewer maybe?

Posted by: Starblaydia Mar 26 2008, 04:30 PM
Turn your monitor on its side.

Much easier.

Posted by: Lamoni Mar 26 2008, 09:30 PM
Or I could just drop my monitor on you, Star. wink.gif

Although I'm not really following what's going on in MP, am I the only person with http://irfanview.com/ around here? This can rotate images, save them in their new rotated format, and then you can either view away or upload them after they've been rotated.

Yes. Photoshop all the way.

Posted by: Manhattan Prime Mar 27 2008, 06:36 PM
Beg to differ, I love Irfanview, wouldn't use anything else.
