Ken Cunningham was annoyed. He had been in the army for his 3 years of service and these three years had been in everybody's opinion the most useless 3 years for the army in Milchamian history. No mistaken invasions of Spruitland, no elections to keep peace with, no wars, not even any AORDO or Collonie trouble. Nothing. It was pure apathy for the army. He needed something to get the army flexing it's muscle again so that HE could finally fight actually do what army people were supposed to do.

General Amit Goldmon thought the exact same thing. The army's budget was in jeopardy and the long time Milchamian that the army gets at least a quarter of government funding was getting challenged by crazed peaceniks. He needed to find something to show the army's value to Milchama.

They both looked through the paper and almost at the exact same moment said the exact same thing, "This is it!" And considering they were in ajoining rooms went quickly to the general's room (it was better) to pursue plans.

Xile was gone, invasion time had come.

Both Cunningham and Goldmon made out a plan of attack, strike from the south using the air force to bombard the citizens or ask for their submission to the Milchamian government meanwhile a combined invasion from the south and two simultaneous amphibious assaults from the east and north to overwhelm the former South Xile into submission (If there is one weakness of Milchamian generals it's their propensity to open too many fronts to put an enemy into submission and their general overplanning of invasions).

Now with their plan laid out both the sargent, Cunningham, and the general, Goldmon, went to the Great Leader Tim Gonnenberg to lay out their plan. Gonnenberg who, along with former Prime Minister Liam Horowitz, had always coveted that territory immediately approved the plan and gave them the funds and the manpower for the invasion.

Of course the Conneset also had to approve the invasion but they could start with Gonnenberg's permission. Soon though the disappearance of Xile was everywhere on the news and the plan also leaked to the press so the approval from the Conneset was through in 3 hours after the bill was passed. Then it was up to Goldmon and Cunningham to get the troops out and get a successful invasion into Xile.

The plan seemed good and after going through the head generals the plan was approved and the calls to surrender were handed out, it was go time.

OOC: If Xile hadn't dissapeared I would have tried to take this territory in the war anyway. Oh and if nobody opposes I'll be done with this expansion in 2 more RPs. One more thing if you look at the map thread I asked for this expansion before you asked for yours Falc, so more accurately I set the trends.

The surrenders had come quickly and easily. With fighting going on between warlords fighting each other for the remains of power a lot of people wanted Milchama to come in to ensure the stability of the region and their lives. From the Secocia Sea coast all the cities near there immediately surrendered after the order was sent and from the Holy River similar surrenders and succeses were met.

The bombers were working wonders where there was not submission that plus the new Milchamian blitzkrieg with the horse infantry was working perfectly smashing through the sparse resistance that they met. Everything was working for the Milchamians, this would redeem the army's reputation surely.

Both Goldmon and Cunningham were ecstatic their plan had worked and they were being hailed as heroes for acting on lands that most of the population had coveted for a long time. The rich farm area near the Holy River would help Milchama's food supply while the exanded coast would help the shipping and the navy to cover more ground. Everybody in Milchama was happy.

Meanwhile the army was still moving forward and they were all about to converge about 20 miles away from New Babylonia, the point where they were supposed to assemble. There was one problem though, the city wasn't surrendering and there was a 30,000 strong army in their way they needed to actually fight and it would be bloody...

The fight began in earnest with the clearly unorganized former Xilean force charging up to meet the aggressors.

"They lost their advantage!" yelled Cunningham ecstatically as they continued to charge.

The well disciplined Milchamian drew to a halt and immediately waited for the Xileans to be within range. Then the blood bath began. The Milchamian weaponry ripped through the Xilean line and their charging army soon became a retreating one. Then the Milchamians struck going down to the field and just beating whatever was left of the army easily capturing the city.

It was almost too easy to believe but another stunning success had brought the capital under control and Milchama now controlled the entire Southern half of the Holy River. People were already getting there in droves as the army swept up the final pockets of resistance.

The operation had worked Milchama finally had more land and more resources. Now they were going to help Nedalia.
