My Fellow SDL Comrades,
I hope this letter finds you in good health, and I pray that the growing tensions in the region have had no ill affects towards you, your families, and your nations as of yet.
On behalf of President Stone of Lamoni, King Falcon II of Falcania, and myself, we cordially invite you to the SDL HQ for a meeting that will pertain to the future of the SDL, to put it bluntly. Please rest assured that there is no need for alarm; it is merely a matter of discussion that must take place.
Please understand further information cannot be dispatched at this time due to security concerns. I hope to meet all of you for the first time soon. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact either myself, President Stone, or King Falcon II (OOC: TG), all of whom have called for this invitation to the SDL HQ. Thank you.

President-Elect Kingsley yawned at his desk and motioned his chief of staff, John Kavanagh in. He handed Kingsley the note, he read it, and then said, "Well, get Air Force One ready, let's go!" |

Having managed to get the alliance approval through the National Congress, President Sean Holton had set his vice president, Robert Jett, on the task of doing domestic damage control. There were many rumors going about Halosen about the vice president not being happy with his boss, but officially they were towing the same line. For now, President Holton put aside thoughts of potentially running in the primary against his VP and settled in for the flight to SDL HQ. It would be his first official visit to Nedalia at all, let alone the brain of the whole operation.
So it was that the red-headed Agnostic from Halosen, the 25th President of the Allied States, was flown from an air force base outside of the capitol. He was aboard a modified Air Myrtannia jet liner, escorted in the air by MAF joint strike fighters. It wouldn't be a terribly long flight, but definitely the longest he'd personally undertaken. |

Prime Minister Hawdon entered the Bazalonian Diplomatic plane Bravo Alpha Zulu - 001 and headed for the meeting in Kafra. The first Kafran meeting was where Bazalonia officially joined the SDL.
That was handled by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Richard Menszae as Stephen was bsy at home but now with Bazalonia now firmly in the international workings of Atlantian Oceania. IT was time that he put his face out there too instead of just hiding behind Richard. Who also was with him on the plane.
As they entered the building the 2 men greeted those that had come and pleasantly noticed the Mrytannian representative, he started a discussion up with him. |

President Twaxlit receives the message from the SDL. Yesterday, his government was defeated on a diplomatic motion where a meeting could be done with Hockey Canada by 2 votes. Luckily, it was not a motion of confidence, so it was not harmful to his coalition government, but it prevented a very important action for the government of Oliverry. The next day, he would call for a vote about the SDL again...
The next day, at the Assemblée Nationale, he tells the speaker of the Assemblée to vote about a motion which would permit him to go in Kafra to a diplomatic meeting of the SDL. If it was to be refused, Oliverry would draw back from the SDL.
30 minutes later, after all whips called their party members, a vote was held. The results were:
Yeas: 317
Nays: 119
After, just to be sure, Twaxlit asked the same question to the Sénat. Here were the results:
Yeas: 62
Nays: 48
After both votes were successful, Twaxlit finally took the plane to the SDL HQ in Kafra, in his private jet with 5 bodyguards. The flight was done without any problem and he arrived in Kafra in one piece. The bodyguards stayed in the plane while it returned to Oliverry. Twaxlit now entered the SDL's HQ... |

Patriarch Khara was sitting in his office, flipping through some papers he had recieved from the National Assembly, when his aide Johnathan came into the room. Taking a seat directly across from the Patriarch at his desk, Johnathan smiled.
"Well I've got some good news for you highness, an SDL meeting is being called. This could give you the chance that you had been looking for to get away from all of this frustration from the National Assembly."
Khara looked up from the set of papers he was holding in his hands, gently laying them down on the desk and taking off his reading glasses.
"Yes, I suppose it would. At the very least it would provide a change of pace for me. Prepare my plane for depature first thing tomorrow. Notify our SDL allies that I will be attending personally." Khara replied.
Johnathan smiled, got up from his chair, and bowed. "As you wish, your highness."
The next day...
Khara's plane touched down gently in Kafra, and the Patriarch disembarked along with his retinue of bodyguards, his aide Johnathan, as well as Minister Danielle Uram. After a meet and greet session with the Nedalians, the Patriarch headed straight for the Khazaronian compound for a short bit of rest before the meeting. |

Dear Sirs,
I have come to know from my intelligence that you are holding a meeting in Kafra. I would just like to express my wish that this meeting will include a discussion on Djacor-Rysonia, which is now important as an SAAS nation, Starblaydia, has recognised it, and has taken military action by moving in on land we still consider our own. We thank you for any action you may take.

"This is Krytenian Air Force transport Kilo-Romeo-Yankee-Tango Thirteen requesting permission to land."
KRYT-13 was the new presidential plane, commisioned after its predecessor was "retired" a few months earlier. (The main reason being it was made in Starblaydia....) As a nod to her nation's common nickname, President Dominique Domasca had chosen the callsign herself - a play on "Krytie".
The plane landed, and taxied up to the waiting motorcade. Domasca stepped off the plane, posed for the few members of the Press granted access, and stepped into the largest of the navy blue vehicles, to be whisked off to her first proper SDL meeting. Unsure of the protocol, she kept the bottle of Potazzi Blue Label vodka in her briefcase for now. |

Patriarch Khara walked into the meeting room, dressed in a light-blue business suit with a dark-blue tie and white dress shirt underneath. Smiling, he nodded and greeted with the other leaders that where already in the room. Glad-handing and chit-chatting with them for several minutes. As his eyes drifted across the room, he toke notice of President Domasca and smiled, bowing slightly as he walked up.
"Madame President" he started "I must say, I did not think I would see the day when I would be sitting down at a meeting with the leader of Krytenia. But these are indeed interesting times for us all." He let out a hearty chuckle. "There is, of course, a welcome bonus to this though. I will finally be able to sample some Krytenian vodka without having to feel to guilty about it."
Khara leaned in, snickered a bit. "Don't tell President Stone, but I here it is actually a bit better than Lamonian vodka. Of course I'll need both in a taste test to find out for sure. For scientific reasons of course." Khara let out a sly grin before taking on a more serious expression.
"However, I would like to ask you about one thing before we get this meeting underway. It concerns the recent troubles between you and Starblaydia, the mutual blockade of goods and the like. Tell me, if you would like, what prompted you to do so, and what impact has the Starblaydi reaction to your block...er...embargo I should say, that would be the correct term." |
