The Great Lion, a title that has been passed down through the ages to the man gutsy enough and skilled enough to assasinate the previous Great Lion, was actually for once in his office. This was the place where most of the successful assasinations took place and there was a constant covering of dried blood. No one ever bothered to clean the office... it would only get dirty again.
The Great lion was thinking how much he hated the rest of AO, particularily nations like Mrytannia, Bazalonia and Milchama. He absolutely despised religion of any sort and he had an idea of how to remove it's curse from Atlantian Oceania... the idea was simple ... nukes.. but first he had to find some missles.
He contracted the main Atheistic Right provider of medium range missles, their motto was "Missiles for you, not at you". Medium ranged missles could generally hit anywhere from 5 kms away, so their business was mostly domestic and had been used internally within Atheistic Right, to construct a longe range missle one that could easily land in Bazalonia, Milchama or even Spruitland.. if the desire so hit... it could be modified at later date if it needed to to accomodate the nuclear bomb.

On "The Island" large quantities of the nations nuclear waste where being gathered together and the nuclear waste was getting purified and seperated into the various by products of nuclear power.. All the nations top chemists, engineers and general scientists where recruited... aka kidknapped as they slept. And thus Atheistic Right's Manhatten Project was under way... |

The long range missle was being tested, their first prototype was a larger scaled version of their medium range but it found it was neither accurate or long range. They where testing the missles by placing a bouy in the middle of the sea way out west well away from any other Atlantian Oceania nation. The first missle instead of landing where it was meant to landed 100 km's away right on top of the ship sent to observe the missle launch... for some reason they fled into the place where the missle was about to land.
Research continued, meanwhile on 'the Island'...
Nuklear research was stalling, they knew the theory but all the test bombs where not nuclear but rather radiological. Only the scientists looking after the recording equipment had suffered any effects, but as the recording equipment was so close, some of them died and one suddenly mutated... it was taken to a hospital scheduled for termination. |

Another test for the missle another warhead packed with explosives..
They targetted the targetting bouy and let it rip.....
The missle flew through the air and splashed into the ocean 50kms away from the target...
There was no observation ship anywhere near....
Meanwhile in the desert on the island.... a nuclear weapon was being constructed...
in an area reserved for testing... The closest people where 85kms away from the bomb but where un preotected...
the set it off... the ground shuddered and shook a flash of light blinded most people that looked and then the mushroom cloud appeared...
Atheistic Right was now a nuclear power... well theoretically. |

Official Open Statement from the Protectorate of Starblaydia to Atheistic Right, Copied to All Atlantian Oceania Nations
To 'The Great Lion', ruler of Atheistic Right,
Starblaydia has witnessed, along with the rest of the region, the testing of Atheistic Right's first nuclear weapon. Starblaydia, the President-nation of the Atlantian Oceania Regional Defence Organisation, does not believe that AR should possess such weapons in the current political climate, nor should it have insitgated such an escalation in its ongoing conflict with the FIFA nation of Collonie.
Lady Viannor demands an immediate cessation to all nuclear weapons development and programmes, along with the introduction of Starblaydi-led AORDO Inspectors to assure that AR's nuclear ambitions are halted immediately. Failure to comply with these requests will meet with immediate action on behalf of Starblaydia and any similarly-minded nations.
Roger Omsec's quest for nuclear holocaust was similar to yours, Great Lion, and the history books make it known who ended those ambitions. We await your immediate compliance.

Dear Ric,
Whether or not you believe we should have these weapons is irrelevant. We have initiated this program to defend ourselves against the Collonian Aggressors. Which I might add the AORDO has done nothing to aid us in our fight against. We will do anything within our power to ensure the security of our great nation and this nuclear ability is a major part of this nations defense.
Lady-Protector Viannor may demand anything she likes but AORDO is not an organisation that Atheistic Right acknowledges has any legitimate authority over us and so these demands will be unmet and remain to be so.
You have a total mis-understanding of our intent. We merely wish to have this weapon to aid in the defense of our nation, against agressors such as Collonie from attack our great nation. If the AORDO can't see this then we have to doubt it's place within the region. Thank you.

As a result, our Pacifica Patrol Fleet, which put to sea in the past few weeks, has been redirected to South-Western Atlantian Oceania along with various standby units in order to show that our intentions are unwavering. We will not let some god-loving, interfereing annoying countries like yourselves dictate internal policy. If you have not already been told or are too thick to understand then we will say this once again. Admiral Yanosh Clarke, on board the Starblaydi Tivoli-class Battlecruiser Oberyn Starblayde, Flagship of the Pacifica Battlefleet, chuckled at the Message from the Myrtannian General.
"They say 'Our intelligence reports that Atheistic Right is driving to develop nuclear weapons'," Clarke said, "so a nuclear bomb going off on an island right next to their territory is enough to spark an intelligence alert to that effect? Idiots, no wonder they're in the SDL."
"We're passing through the SDL heartland here, sir," his Lieutenant said, "better not speak too loudly or they'll pick it up."
After shooting through the Channel in between Krytenia and Xile, the Pacifica fleet was approaching open water beyond Milchama and Nedalia. From there, a simple sidestep around Bazalonia was all that was needed to be in range of Atheistic Right.
"Keep our fighters up in defensive patterns, of course, but if there's any funny stuff from our boys I'll rip them a new a-hole. Make sure they know that."
