Latao elects Nationalist Billionaire

Latao’s first president after the violent removal of Roger Omsec thru the bloody hands of Starblaydi Lord Protector Tiberius Starblayde and his killer-friends from Abattoir has taken the office and begins his work after the government’s summer break, which is dated für August 16.
The 65 years old von Papen is owner of Laghoni Motors (automobile construction is Latao’s major industry) and he holds seats in control boards of the first Bank of Latao and Novara Medical & Pharmacy.
As a result of the Kafra 2005 talks on Latao in Nedalia, Roger Omsec has withdrawn from any executive authorities in the country and returned to his company the shmoo broadcasting network.
As the situation is becoming more and more stable and things are calming down rapidly with the new government in service, the NEC invites all diplomatic personnel to return to their buildings and continue their valued work.
The NEC of Latao also asks thru the ambassador of Nedalia for a second session of the Kafra 2005 talks, to clear out Latao’s role in the international community of Atlantian Oceania, now it has served the will of the victory powers by replacing its government members.
All interested parties are welcome to join the talks.
I am sure, we can find a way to get along with the Lord Protector as military resistance is not an option – we confess they are the stronger party when it comes to aggression, while I am sure, that Latao has got the stronger economy and provides a better quality place to live for its society.
We have enough enemies – we do not need more.
Also notable is the foundation of the sovereign state of Nyssa (the small island in Latin waters, south-east of Latao’s core-land) – Nyssa has the status of a Protectorate of Latao with its own elected government, while the executive president is chosen by the NEC of the Confederacy of Latao.
Nyssa uses the same currency as Latao and is completely integrated in Latao’s customs union and shares infrastructure for military and police. The Protectorate manages its domestic issues on its own but considers the Confederacy in all international questions and it shares its UN-membership seat with the Confederacy of Latao.

The official Latao is pleased by the agreement of Lamoni to re-open its doors for the Confederacy.
Common people do however still look with some suspection on Lamoni. Kafra will be a good chance to remove any discrminating chains from Latao and fully rehabilitate the nation in the international community. |

In light of the success of the last talks we hosted in Kafra concerning Latao, we would be glad to host a second round of talks to discuss Latao's economy and their propositions. Ofcourse, all involved parties are invited and participation is encougared.
As for the election of Franz von Papen, we cordially congratulate him on his victory and hope he can lead his country out of this messy war era and into prosperity. While we havent always seen eye to eye with Latao, we, the Nedalian people, are wise enough to seperate Omsec's policies and actions from the Latao itself. We hope that our strengthening relationship can continue to grow, especially with the presence of the overly aggressive rule of The Holy Saints in the area. |

The nation of Latao thanks the fine people of Nedalia that they and their official representatives are willing to host another conference in the sunny location of Kafra.
We thank the entire nation of Nedalia for providing us with an open and fair forum where all affected parties may discuss the status of the souvenir nations of Latao and Nyssa on neutral ground.
The high-ranked Latao delegation hopes, that the talks may start as soon as possible and that also representatives of Starblaydia will attend the conference, as they are a respected and important partner.
Representatives of the private economy sectors of Latao have shown studies that Latao is ready to be a leading powerhouse of the entire region of Oceania, providing great life-standards for all of its people, including anyone who whishes to participate our success with investments.
Mr. von Papen thanks for the nice greetings for his electoral success. The people of Latao are willing and happy to experience a new era of peace and prosperty under the leading of a wise NEC.
The government is sure, that Latao may be and shall be an important and respected factor for stability and prosperity in the south-west of Atlantian Oceania and a loyal and faithful partner for security and safety, especially considering the fact that we have neighbors that are a bit aggressive sometimes.

The Starblaydi Navy, as one of the most powerful forces in the region, goes where it pleases whilst respecting the boundaries of International Waters. As such, Starblaydia will remain a naval presence in the waters east of Latao until it sees fit to do otherwise. |

We have trust in the sensitive minds of the Starblaydi military leadership and that it knows, that siege of a foreign nation with military troops could be interpreted as a threat by the nation that is surrounded by that (unfriendly) forces.
We are sure, that the Lord Protector and his councelors recognize, that Latao has complied with all rules and conditions given by the victory power Starblaydia. |
