| Capitol city of Salmantic is Contipoli- pop. 10 million located in the mid-west of the nation. Largest city in Salmantic is Saranogony- pop. 40 million located in the northeast of the nation The rest of Salmantic's 200 or so million are located in any of the other 20 major cities, 15 of which are located along the coast of the nation. Forming what is called the coastal wall. |

| Nedlia does not have 'cities', as far as the word goes. The entire populus of Nedlia are spread around the islands, and are not grouped into cities. The only form of address Nedlia has is the post code. This is all it needs, as we have a GPS system to locate things. |

Jay Industries are the largest company in Falcania and their fields include Automobile Manufacturing and Arms & Ammunition production. Jay are partnered with Phoenix Dynamix, the well known arms manufacturers. Population 30 million. Magville is another large industrial town, population 20 million. Featbridge is the educational centre of Falcania, with the world-famous Featbridge university of Engineering. Population: 20 million. | Hmmm... just noticed I'd never said anything about cities in the Druidish Lands, either as Druida or NEWI Cefn Druids. So here's a little... Cefn is the capital city of Druida, with a population of around 26,000,000. The most famous landmark in Cefn is Cefn Viaduct, an unfinished viaduct that stretches for three whole miles through the city centre. The centre itself is a very modern city, with modern architecture visible all over the place. However, to the west of the city lie some of the less desirable areas, and though crime is not particularly high there by international standards, by Druidan standards, it's a bit of a ghetto. Mawr is virtually joined to Cefn at the South East. This city of 5,300,000 is most famous for the home of Druidan sport, The Hole stadium. Druid Tribune, on the banks of Lake Bekk, was the historical capital of the Druidish Lands. Despite only having a population of 1,200,000, it is still one of the most significant cities in Druidan culture because it is thought to be where the first Druid settlers lived. Indeed, many of the buildings there today still reflect this. DT is also popular for its art galleries, theatres and camp sites. Former capital of Druida before expansion. Graymouth, on the Druidan West Coast, is the centle of Druida's heavy industry. Indeed, of the 13,000,000 who live there, over half are employed by Chemindus. Why they don't just change the name to ChemindusCity, we just don't know. The city of Graymouth has a strong rivalry with it's immediate neighbour South Grayside. The 1,800,000 who live south of the river receive virtually none of Chemindus' money, and is the poorest area of Druida. However, such a strong bond between the people of South Grayside means that together, life is much better than it would be seperately. Another inter-city rivalry is between Parkville (pop. 6.2 million) and Bessburg (pop. 5.8 million). The two cities are constantly trying to out-do each other, and as a result, they are both very prosperous areas. Cranbury, a city of 3.8 million, also tries to get in on the whole rivalry act, but it is too far away, and also just a cheap imitation of the others. Llllllllllcwllllllll is the capital of the Anwir Cymru area of Druida, and with 18,500,000 people living there, it is the country's second largest city. Anwir Cymru is the home of the Mock Welsh, who, despite being seen all around Druida, form around half the population here. The other half is largely normal Druidan, while there are also a few ethnic Pedrianans, Marligantians and Vilitans. Multi-linguilism is an advantage here. In Neodzki, on the other hand, language just about goes out of the window. Home to 9,300,000 New Europans, it is the capital of a region without a specific language, but somehow everyone understands each other. Weird. The North-East of Druida is home to the so-called "Name Cities", Trevor (pop. 5,400,000), Dave (pop. 5,300,000), Tobias (pop 3,400,000) and Garth (pop. 4,500,000). These are also well populated with the Anwir Cymreg, but are more reknowned for the general stupidity of the people, as well as significant amounts of ethnic Starblaydis. Cruqws: In historical times, Cruqws was where convicts were sent from Druid Tribune. It was a perfect location, as far away from DT while staying within the Druidish Lands and not bothering the Anwir Cymreg too much. Now home to 2,900,000 "convicts", though the term is just a nickname imposed upon them by other Druidans. Also a place where international criminals were oftne one sent to, so nowadays it is a really cosmopolitan city. Port Scadock is the largest international port in Druida. The population of 3,200,000 is largely Druidan, though there is a significant ethnic Vilitan presence too, as much of where the Druidish Lands is now located was once Vilitan controlled. Other major cities include: Newton Vale: A rural city built out of virtually nothing to now accomodate 1,500,000. Growing all the time. Ormillton: A city in the Druidan Hills between Anwir Cymru and Cefn-Mawr. Population 1,800,000. Kirkanden: Another city in the hills, but home to less that 750,000. | Since I cannot at the moment start a new thread, I'll be posting Spartuh's basic information here, in the nation cities thread. At least until such time as I can post it in a more conspicuous location. The Official Information Sheet for the Kingdom of Spartuh Official Name: The Kingdom of Spartuh (intended to be Sparta, but misspelled by drunk Athenians) Short Name: Spartuh Type of Government: Monarchy Population: 76 Million Capital: Sparta Religion: Greek Pantheon Major Languages: Greek, English and Latin Head of State/Government: King Leonidas Military Basic Information: The Kingdom of Spartuh utilizes traditional Spartan systems, in that all Spartuns are trained in some degree to be warriors. Males are trained almost from birth, and sent to warrior's training schools at the age of 7, considered overly brutal by some. This, then, is the Agogi, where Spartuns emerge either as warriors or not at all. Included are not only lessons on warfare and fighting, but also philosophy and other learnings. Spartuh's sons are not simple-minded killing machines, as opposed to popular belief. However, their true purpose is to fight for their nation, to serve their people in time of need and to defend Spartun law and freedom against any aggressor. For a true Spartun, there is no surrender, no retreat. Only a glorious death or victory. This, at least, for the men of Spartuh - they are allowed to hold civillian positions in times of peace, if they so choose. Many prefer to remain full, active service members of the Royal Army. While the Army is large, the Spartun Royal Air Force (SRAF) and Royal Navy are comparitively much smaller. This is due to the fact that both branches are seen as women's jobs by the rank and file of Spartun masculinity. To this end, every member of the Air Force and Navy is female, or in rare cases, a female non-Spartun. The Air Force usually works under the command of Army Forward Air Controllers, except for special missions. This leaves the ethnic minorities - leftovers from the other Greek city-states - to perform the mundane jobs such as science, teaching, and serving as the civillian police force. They include the Athenians and Thespians, both of whom seem content in their place in life. The Spartuns do the fighting, and they get to go on with their pursuits so long as they work toward the general well being of the Kingdom. Other background: The Kingdom of Spartuh was born out of an alternate outcome to what one might consider 'historical' events. In their history, the Greek Cities were never conquered by Rome, and continued to flourish after a great victory by a revitalized Spartan army over the Romans. Following the victory, Sparta was ascendant once more, but realized that it needed to change its methods in order to ensure continued survival. Therefore, they began to work with their fellow Greeks rather than fighting them, to create a state under which all the lands of Greece could remain free. As expected, some cities did not care to allow the Spartans to rule over them, but this dissenters were dealt with swiftly by force of arms. From that time, the Kingdom of Sparta reigned for many years, entering isolation to remain out of danger from the unknowns of the world. With their research uninterrupted, the Athenians in particular became more proficient at the sciences. Sparta, and by extension Greece, became one of the most advanced nations in the world technologically. For a few decades, the Kingdom was divided, and returned to city-state status soon afterwards. But eventually the dreams of a united Greece again rose up, and Sparta stood at the forefront of the movement. With their fighting skill, and the learnings of the Athenians, Greece was unified once more as the Kingdom of Sparta. A move originally to a Pacific region in the NS World gave birth to modern Spartuh, but not enough was there to keep the Kingdom's interest. Thirteen years ago, though, a new direction was set when it was found that a great Spartan leader had been reborn in a new body. Leonidas, hero of the battle of Thermopylae, had returned to guide Spartuh to a new age of prosperity. A nation wide search was carried out, but it was not until the child reached age eight that Leonidas was found. It mattered not that the Gods had deemed it suitable for Leonidas to be reborn a girl, for the great King had returned! Since then, she has reigned as King of Spartuh, undergoing the Agogi just as any Spartun man would. Thriving in it, she graduated early, and attends to duties of state as a heavilly armed thirteen year old girl. A heavilly armed girl with three hundred of the finest warriors equiped with the best weaponry in the Kingdom as her personal bodyguard. As always, Spartuns are deeply religious, and follow the will of the Gods as proclaimed by the Oracle. She has never led them astray yet, and it isn't believed that she will anytime soon. And so... THIS. IS. SPARTUH! |
