Although neither of my nations have been on the map for as long as I've been here (almost 1 RL year), I've seen previous public requests, and most are asked to pick which one area they'd like.
And, on an unrelated topic... I really hope we don't get any noob requests that go something like: 'hi i have nu nati0n i want 12...' |

NMS’s request is fine; slot 5 is rather small and there is precedent for nations controlling non-contiguous regions (Nedalia and Bedistan).
Requests for gigantic open areas have happened, and have resulted in the nation being granted a small portion of the requested area. |

Also, I'm not sure if you read my nation's factbook, but it contains three colonial provinces which are seperated from the mainland, so I would have needed an enclave or two. Sorry if I didn't make that quite clear in the factbook. |
