Here it is welcome to the AOSAC!
Scores will be generated tomorrow.... Though new delegations are welcome to come up until scorination. Or when I post the RP Cut off.
Scorination
Legs will be out of 5 Wings will be out of 5 Head will be out of 5 Creativity will be out of 10
To provide a total score out of 25 for each competitor.
There will be an RP bonus and will be applied to each competior as a seperate entity according to the pattern in their signups ----------
What was she thinking, A Snow Angel Competition? The last one that was tried happened during the First Winter olympics and that flopped, well only one competitor apart from Luke MacDonald. Either way it was not the brightest of things but so far three other nations had sent in full delegations. This competition was a goer.
And who was it that organised the AOSAC? That's right Jolie MacKay the judge for the only other Snow Angel Competition that she knew of and the field was 16 participants. Due to size of the area they had 16 was the largest amount of competitors that could deal with. So it really is anyones game eitherway, this was to be fun. Both for the competitors and for the people watching. Now all she needed was the competitors to come. |

Two Myrtannians in Top Five After Day One Exclusive AOSAC coverage brought to you by SNM
It's not the most conventional of competitions, nor the most known at the moment. In fact, most of the region seems oblivious to its very existance. But the first-ever Atlantian Oceania Snow Angel Competition got underway the same day that another winter sport - AOCC 2 - began in Pacitalia. With a grand total of four nations participating in AOSAC, and that means that each nation has a 1 in 4 chance to have someone win a medal. Or whatever it is that the top three finishers recieve.
Myrtannia's entrants, all from Sayiid Island Province, are by no means celebrities in the United Isles. None of them will get the attention lavished upon heroes such as Dania Figary or Vito Munise. But they've come to Bazalonia to represent their country and have some fun in the bargain.
"I think it's a great idea, really. Without as much attention on us, there's not as much pressure, and I think that's going to help us more than anything. We can all relax and focus on making the best snow angels we can, all while enjoying time in beautiful Bazalonia," said Piper Kome, one of Myrtannia's AOSAC competitors.
It was Kome who made the biggest impact for Myrtannia, impressing the judges with a solid form mixed with loads of creativity. That was enough to secure second place in the standings for Kome, who sits only behind Quakmybush's Frank Quinton. Also in the top five of the standings are Aki Oshiro (3rd - Ubundi) and Frank Horner (4th - Bazalonia).
Rounding out the top five is another Myrtannian - Chiaki Korigome, who landed the single best creativity score in AOSAC history. Admittedly, that history is only one day so far, but 9.8/10 isn't bad. Korigome remains in position to challenge for a medal as well, and made Myrtannia the only nation with two competitors in the top five of the field.
Fellow Myrtannians didn't fare quite as well. Ayano Adachi finished the day in 10th place with 16.1/25 points, while Arisa Fujiwara managed 13th with a grand total of 15.5/25 points. Fujiwara also recorded the competition's worst head score, at a mere 1.4 out of 5 possible points.
"It's just one round. Anything can happen in the coming rounds," Adachi told SNM's Deeann Massetti, "The main thing is that we're enjoying ourselves right now, and not taking things overly seriously."
Myrtannians in AOCSAC: P. Kome (2nd, 19.7/25), C. Korigome (5th, 18.1/25), A. Adachi (10th, 16.1/25), A. Fujiwara (13th, 15.5/25) |

CODE | Frank Horner 4.7/5 3.3/5 4.3/5 6.6/10 18.9/25 |
Frank Horner is one of three friends that thought it would be a good idea as a dare to enter the AOSAC, it was purely for a joke for the student at Drago University, completing his third year in a 4 year primary school teaching course.
Frank, who just turned 21 got really blasted with his friends and it was in this totally wasted stupor that they signed up for the AOSAC. Frank used his head and managed a very technically solid performance with an alight creative performance. It was his creativity that let him down. But as no really cared about the AOSAC he doubted there would be any real media coverage at all and that was what he wanted.
Too bad there was some coverage in his hometown of Bereford, and his parents actually saw it. Just seconds after the story finished he received a call on his mobile.... It was his mother.
"Hi mum... Yeah..... no, I didn't..... I was embarrased okay I'm facing off some school kids from Myrtannia and they beat me...... really... Fine then okay, come down... you'll have time before the second round starts, maybe.... Bye..."
CODE | George Jefferson 2.7/5 3.9/5 3.4/5 6.5/10 16.5/25 |
The 2nd of the three friends, George was infact doing IT at University and it was only a fluke that he became friends with Frank and the others. George had a Middle of the pact performance, he obviously had no recent experience in creating one but he managed a decent score, much better than that snow devil guy.
However he managed to get out of the spot light as he was a mediocre angeller and I doubt there was even a total of a second of video time that he actually made it and even then you couldn't see his face. After his score of 16.5/25 was the same as a guy from Ubundi, they announced that the creativity score was the score they used as the tie-break.
CODE | Louise Krakenhower 3.3/5 4.6/5 4.2/5 3.5/10 15.6/25 |
The third friend, Louise another doing primary school teaching at Drago Uni, It was a reasonable technical score but poor as creativity that kept Louse from being any higher 3.5 out of 10. It was the second lowest Bazalonian and it was Nerida who had the lowest creativity score while having quite reasonable technical scores. Once again she was much older than any of the other competition
CODE | Nerida Rachett 4.5/5 4/5 4.7/5 2.3/10 15.5/25 |
Only .1 less than fellow Bazalonian Louise Krakenhower had a creativity blank preventing her from doing anything else from making a good technical snow angel, it was this extra time spennding to make it a good technical angel that saved her from suffering the same fate as Snow Devil from Quakmybush.
However being 12 Nerida was the youngest Bazalonian and she wanted to spend more time with the Myrtannians than with the other Bazalonians. Though he mother and father were there too just keeping a look out making sure nothing really happened.

A Snow Angel Contest Exists?
Apparently it does, and apparently we are good at it. After the 2nd round, 3 of the top 5 are Quakmybushian Snow Anglesist. However the last weirdly named Snow Devil, is as low as hell. The next round will be held tomorrow. If you can find this sad excuse for a sport on tv somewhere, give us a call so we can tell everyone. |
