DRUIDSPORT NEWSFLASH: OLYMPIC SPECIAL
Eric Tree, the hotly fancied Druidish swimmer, has failed in his attempts for an AO Olympic medal. After easing through his heat, the Port Scadock swimmer ended up a dismal seventh in his semi-final, after a disasterous start. However, team mate Trevor David has made the final, though a medal would only be a bonus for him. |

"... Kevin Lee's exertions in the one-hundred metres appear to have backfired on him in the two-hundred, as he was the only one of the three Starblaydis to not make it into the semi-finals of this event. Larry LaPlanza and Randy Richter do, however, go through, but not with times expected to be world-beaters come the semi-final..." |

"...and this just in: Pedriana bombs the 200m freestyle. Ellman got the fastest time of the three Pedrian swimmers, and he still missed out by half a second. You'd think with us having a border on the coast, we'd be able to do something in the swimming events, but Team Pedriana is just not producing here at NAQA." |

"...and we've received word that Aquiliana's Armarium Pagnus has reached the finals of the 800m freestyle. He probably won't be in the medal hunt, seeded 6th, but there's always a chance for everyone, of course." |

"... LBC has just recieved word that Lamoni swimming champ Wes Smith Jr. has qualified for the 800m freestyle finals with a very fast 8:17.02 time. If Wes can keep up the pace in the finals, Lamoni could have not only it's first medal, but also be able to build a winning tradition in the pool..." |
