The President sat on his leather office chair, slowly swaying back and forth. A small joint of the best Nedalian herb lay on the ashtray infront, almost all smoked out. You see, Nedalia were completely for these earthly ‘drugs’, it was very common to enjoy a joint or two after a hard day’s work, which would explain why President Bren was so deep in thought. The subject that occupied his mind was the ancient civilization of Lieno.
Before Nedalia moved out of its isolationist state, Lieno were their neighbors on the southeastern border of they country, and even had a portion of Nedalia’s current southeastern land. Not much is stated about them in the Nedalian intelligence, but it said that the nation was decimated Xilean forces, and shortly afterwards, dissolved into the state it was in today. In fact, it is estimated that almost 21% of all people in Nedalia’s southeastern region are of Lienoian descent.
After the ‘Battle of the Southern Islands’, Nedalia has begun moving onto the former Lienoian lands in order to make sure that its southern coastline does not become blocked off by THS forces, and so far the colonization has been a success. They have faced no quarrels or problems in convincing the small city states, the last reminder of Lieno, to integrate with the nation of Nedalia. They have also been promised to be brought together under a region called Lieno, stretching from the current southeastern border of Nedalia to what was the eastern border of Lieno. They were promised their own governer, whom only they could elect, Nedalian citizenships, and equal treatment in every aspect of life.
As for the actual colonization operation, it was being led by Generals Optam and Drown, the same Generals who led Nedalia in the battle against THS. The military presence in the new region was about 10,000 strong, but there had not been one report of an incident. This has led Commander Horacio to believe the next step is to start downgrading the military presence in the new region of Nedalia, keeping only about 5,000 troops stationed there until the military can start setting up proper bases in Lieno.
