The Az-Czians in the audience that it was good but of course none of them really respect the specialist speedsters or speed courses in general

So true, but the correct form for people from Az-cz is Az-czzers. smile.gif

Joshua Trengrove, totally dominated the Oliverian Étienne Moreau. Carring none of the specialesed and heavy tools the Oliverrian had virtually no chance against the Bazalonian. Joshua took a lead almost at the first trap using his strength and a specially designed crowbar to lever a way through the first trap while the Olliverian struggled to even use the crowbar. In the end the Bazalonian walked the last portion of the map as he knew that the Olliverian was so far behind. Despite this easy win he was booed at the end, not because anything that he did this one. But those residual people that still had feelings over "breakgate" and his 5-0-2 near perfect record.

Andrew Rather had a much harder match against Vilitian, Ioalali Morai, The first course was drawn and there was another course run, the first run Andrew Rather seemed to be a little off his game, his concentration was seemingly fixed on something outside the course before him. Before the second course run he had received a call on his mobile phone and for the 2nd time he was much more composed, it was almost like his life depended on winning the course that was before him. And he did

Maria Heatherton just was terrible, she was performing way under her usual standard and was up against Lumber StrongMouse, A mouse that had a perfect run, 5 wins and no draws. This time Lumber did not dissapoint. Heather however did.

Peter Harden, Well, he's just crap. Having only won one of his chases and did not even look like wining any of the others it seemed there was almost no one at the chase. And those that where barracking for Yabai Tomoai, the Vilitian who was his opponent and won.

Dallas Pederson and Levi Jonasson were excited. Both were 3-2 and both were hopeful for a top half seed for the knockout rounds. At the moment however......

"Look Dallas, you clearly need to increase your speed. It's too late for you to beat Kinch tomorrow, but at least you can improve for the Round of 16."

"But Levi, speed chases aren't REAL Kleptochase. It's just a stunt designed to attract casual fans."

"Do you want to get on the tour or not?"

Levi was actually quite confident of making the tour. After he and Dallas scouted the competition, he felt that he was one of the best maze runners, as well as one of the fastest. That combination almost assured him of a spot in the quaterfinals, and thus the Tour. Now if he could only get Dallas to do his training with him.

"But this is SO humiliating"

"Relax, Dallas, only the two of us can see this. Besides I do this sort of thing all the time. I learned it when I was running track."

"Really? But I still don't see how this is going to make me faster."

"Just do it!!"

With that Levi Jonasson brought out the zebra........

Sports Section

Terrible day for Milchamian chasers

We love to be the first to report about new sports and activities and just yesterday we figured out that the AOKCC is happening. Or the AO Kleptochase Championship. In the championship we have 4 chasers who have all been sucking recently.

First is Marty Kochenon in group A. Currently his record is 2-3-3 which puts him in 3rd place in his group. Tommorow is his best event, according to his press release, the speed course so he is hoping for a change in fortune and a win to propel him to .500. However its looking easy for Marty as he faces Oliverrian Etian Mureau who is last in the group and is apparently poor at speed courses. The tournament also does not matter as much to Marty now as after his opponent in the first chase was accused of cheating Marty got an one year exemption on the Az-Cz tour.

The next person in group 3 in Schreider Martin who won today beating the Starblaydi (yeh!) Dazrim Barantibar. That puts him at 3-2-0 and in first place among the Milchamian chasers. Martin is looking for a winning record and a chance to be in the top 8 in competition. He has also gotten a little bit of a following among the Az-Czzers who really liked how he crushed all else in the maze competition in only 30 seconds. With the maze looming in double octos things are looking good for Schreider.

The third chaser is Marian Luppers who is in group 4. Luppers got off to a hot start before cooling off with 2 strait losses. He needs a win bad in his final chase against the Vilitan Iolai Morai who is in last place in the group with 4 losses. With the win Luppers would be over .500 and in a good position to challenge in the quarterfinals.

Davy Kinch who is in group 8 is the final Milchamian chaser. The least known among Milchamian chasers, Kinch has done alright as while he is in last place in his group he looks to still get to .500 as his specialty in Kleptochase, the speed course, is tommorow and he's against a person who is very bad with speed, Dallas Pederson from Winchestia. Kinch thinks that he can go far in the event despite the fact that double octos is a course that he does not do particularly well on, the maze course.

All our chasers have a chance to be at least .500 and be in the top part of the bracket, its a good time to be a kleptochase fan right now in Milchama.

Miceland has perfect record

Lumber StrongMouse has a perfect 5-0-0 record our of the 5 matches, the closest competitor, controversial 'breaker' Joshua Trengrove from Bazalonia who also has won 5 of his matches but has 2 draws hence destroying his perfect record. All other chasers have at least lost one match including our own other mice. Lumber once again faced Bazalonian Maria Heatherton in a strength course. Strength is both Lumber's and Maria's specialty however while Lumber got his way to 5-0-0 Maria is struggling at the bottom with a 0-5-1. Not that Maria is a poor chaser, it's just that she had a terrible run and seems to be well under the weather.

Runner SprintMouse also won his match and goes to 3-2-1 and 13th out of the 32 competitors, Runner and Alfred where quite close but Runner started to pull away after an unexpectedly quick trap disarming with the general tool. Runner only seemed to get further and further ahead using his amazing speed to pull away from the chaser from quakmybush. He reached the target and made it out in an amazing chase. The loss was Alfred St-Jacques first loss in Group C

Andreas SteepleMouse lost to the Starblaydi dwarf, which was not totally unexpected as Andreas is quite a weekling and while he does at least have a decent technique, the slowness of the general tools that she had to use was just too much for him, as the Starblaydi took a lead early on and kept it through out the entire chase.

Peter SneakyMouse has at a disadvantage from the begining Vladamir was a strength specialist and Peter, while he had strength he just had no where near the power that the QuakMyBush chaser had. However Peter SneakyMouse kept his own right up till the near the end of the chase but was just too worn out by the end to continue chasing with any speed.

OOC: A few notes:

1. There are discrepancies between the group standings and the overall standings. This is not a mistake. As the group standings are not relevant no care has been taken to match them with the overall standings in.

2. Draws for teams with more than 3 wins pull them down, less than three wins pushes them up but are irrelevant for teams with 3 wins. All teams with 3 wins and 3 losses are considered equal and are ranked at random.

3. The matches are ordered by seeding but by matchup. So 1 versus 32 is listed first then 16 versus 17. This allows for easy visibility of who the possible opponents for each racer in the next round are.

4. Racers with four or more wins will be recieving a bonus to their stats. How much this bonus is depends on their place and number of wins.

5. Poor Starblaydia. Both of the two bottom spots. And not one of them made the top half of the seedings.

6. Interestingly two matches went to sudden death on the final day after only seeing it once the other five matchdays.

Joshua Trengrove showed the dominance that he had shown throughout the tournament against the Winchestian Winston Smith. Being no traps it was a matter of who could get to the target first and head on to the end. Joshua came out slightly ahead and seemed to go even faster with the target, leaving the Winchestian behind in his dust. Joshua will face Starblaydi Thoror Azrantahim in the round of 32, a win is expected

Maria Heatherton, she finally managed to win an event however it was not in her speciality she faced Starblaydi Thoror Azrantahim and that was the only match that she seemed to dominate. Thoror is one spot below Maria on the final rankings Peter Harden, Maria Heatherton and Starblaydi's Thoror Azrantahim and Dazrim Barantibar take up the last four places in that order. Maria wil face her Fellow Bazalonian, Andrew Rather. A loss is expected for her.

Peter Harden, he lost against Vladimir Petrovič from QuakMyBush in a thriller of a speed match. After 3 draws it came down to sudden death and there it was Vladimir Petrovič just piped Peter at the end giving the chance for a somewhat decent score for Peter to Vladamir, who is now ranked 11th. Peter will face Runner SprintMouse and it's expected for Runner to win fairly easily on this one.

Andrew Rather, faced Martin Wilson from Winchestia. Andrew seemed to trip over himself just as soon as he got started, as a resolt the Winchestian got a handy head start and managed to take the game reasonably easy in the end. Andrew is still ranked 3rd despite this loss as he notices the lack of anyone wining 5 of their matches and losing 1, but there are 2 people that have won all 6. Andrew Rather will face fellow Bazalonian Maria Heatherton and is expected to win.

Luppers had failed. After starting 3-0 he had blown any chance of anything and was now ranked mid pack after 3 losses and a 3-3 record. As all the ties were irrevelent for 3-3ers like himself, it didn't matter how many draws he had or anything like that.

The worst part though was that he lost Iolai Morai who was 2-4 and had sucked throughout the entire tournament. At least he was against a Starblaydi, and they had finally found a sport where Starblaydia did not dominate, Kleptochase. Therefore Luppers knew he could and would get to octofinals which would guarantee him the majors exemption which would be enough for a year before he qualified for the tour.

He felt he could do it, actually he knew he could do it. His coach had told him so.
----------------------------------------

Marty Kochenon had blown it. He knew it, his coach knew it, everybody knew it. He was mad and he acted on the anger. He threw his tool box and yelled really really loud. That was it though, he was known as a less emotional Milchamian because he didn't get mad as much or as great as most Milchamians who were known for their excessive tempers.

He was mad about his endurance. The first two times he had beat down Etain Moreau, became the theif and should have won but Moreau got lucky. Then the third time he called timeout because he had too but was still able to tag Moreau. Then he knew that he would win but Moreau got to the object first and since it was sudden death that was it, Marty had lost. He screamed again <expletive removed> how could i lose to him!!!!!

Well he stopped dwelling on the past and looked toward the future, he was against a mouse named Peter SneakyMouse whose strength were the maze and technique courses which Kochenon was also good at. He just needed some luck and maybe a good run and he could do it. He felt confident and he was ready.

-----------------------------------------

Martin had managed it, he got his winning record after beating Alfred St. Jaqcues in the speed course. The first time Martin was confused and flustered and immediately went on the defensive going for the draw, and he got it too after he outran St. Jaqcue to the target area where he grabbed him and managed a draw.

The second run though Martin was awesome as he outran St. Jacque to the object and then picked the lock and got to the target area before St. Jacque was even 10 ft past his starting point. This caused the crowd to go into a friendzy as Martin picked up the object ran back and scored the win and became a 4-2.

He continued to think about that as he picked up his double octos pairing, Ioalali Morai. Hey somebody had already faced him, who was it though, ah there it was Marian Luppers. Well it was time to go to Luppers and ask what he needed to do to beat Morai....

-----------------------------------------

Davy Kinch had met his goal or at least come close. He just wanted respect and with a win that would guarantee him respect. He had gone 3-3 or the same record as the "great" Marian Luppers and a better record than Marty Kochenon, although Kinch thought that Marty had not tried as hard since he had already auto qualed.

He of course had been screwed over in the draw as he didn't face another 3-3 but a 4-2 in Levi Johannson from Winchestia. He knew it would be alright as he had won in maze before in this tournament and could perform there when it mattered.

In double octos it mattered and Kinch was more than ready for the task at hand, to get a spot on the tour.

Vilitans sweep through to Round of 16

After a strong start, Vilitan fan favorite Yabai Tomoai slipped to a pair of defeats against Miceland's Peter SneakyMouse leaving the chaser third in the group. But Tomoai pressed on after a draw to record the win over Winchestia's Dallas Pederson in the Round of 32 to advance to the Round of 16. Tomoai's reward for the Round of 32 victory is a match against the favored Joshua Trengrove of Bazalonia. Tomoai, not known as much for speed, will be facing an uphill climb against the pacey Trengrove who has the advantage of pre-tournament training is Az-Cz that the Vilitan's did not attend. With the crowd on the Vilitan's side, it should certainly be an interesting matchup, despite what the expert pundits may think.

Meanwhile, the surprise of the Round of 32 came as the less than impressive Ioalali Morai continued a mini-run of form by upsetting 5th rank Milchaman chaser Schreider Martin. Morai had footed the bottom of the overall table before a pair of victories leapfrogged the Vilitan into a more admirable, but still pathetic 5th from bottom. But the win in the round of 32 shows that the late run of form was no fluke, and Morai now enters the round of 16 with the fate of the nation at hand, with expert pundits picking Morai as the Vilitan with the best Quarter-Final prospects. Speed-demon Morai will be up against Whicnestian speedster Levi Jonasson in what is certain to be the most entertaining tie in the round of 16.

Viliama Riistamii had some trouble in putting away Oliverry's Théophile Fournier, but would eventually contribute to the Vilitan round of 32 sweep with a win. Riistamii, the top performing Vilitan in the group stage, entered the round of 32 as the 6th ranked chaser and favored amongst Vilitans to reach the Quarter Finals. However, perhaps lacking a bit of confidence, or perhaps having a bit too much, Riistamii quickly acquired the item on the course. Riistamii, however, was unable to keep hold of the item, and was forced to turn back, and a draw was the ultimate result. A little more cautious on the second run, Riistamii was able to easily outduel Fournier, but not without the scare of epic porportions, causing many experts to doubt the former favorites credentials against Quakmybush's Vladimir Petrovič, who has already tackled Vilitan Yabai Tomoai in the group stage. In a lucky pairing, Vilitan Ootaniz Riiatzor finally recovered from Dry Eye in time for a mere practice run against Oliverry's Gustave Roy. Although Roy, heavily favored in rank at 7th after the group stage, may have gone in confident, it is unlikely we will see this chaser back in competition any time soon after the embarassing defeat at the hands of Riiatzor, who looked a flash in the pan with being able to see being put back into the Vilitan's chasing equation.

Sight at hand, Riiatzor will make it four for four in the Round of 16 as all of Vilita's competitors have advanced beyond the first hurdle. This success has not yet rebounded onto the Vilitan mainland, however, as three juveniles were convicted of larseny over the weekend, despite valiant "National Pride" defence pleas being put in on behalf of the convicts, claiming they were just trying to emulate their idols, the competitive Vilitan chasing team.

Joshua Trengrove, Bazalonia's most hated player, faced a chaser from political opponent and World Cup's current #1 team, Staryblaydia. Thoror Azrantahim did not put up much of a maze race with the Bazalonian reaching the target in a new personal best time for a maze, the Starblaydian seemingly had no idea where the Bazalonian was and was heading in the exact wrong direction. Joshua appeared out through the exit and received grumbles, the audience reacting to the winning streak as we can be sure that Joshua is a great Kleptochaser but also reacting to that fact that 'breakgate' is still figuring heavily in the minds of the Az-Czzers and other spectators. The Round of 16 is a Speed Round, his opponent in the Round of 16 is Yabai Tomoai, in a match of Speed Yabai should be fairly easily dominated by the Bazalonian in a continuation of his perfect run.

Peter Harden was just totally out-classed by Runner SprintMouse. The mouses speed was a major asn, sprinting through the maze bypassing the traps, Peter however tried to go through the maze by dealing with the traps. Getting himself stuck while trying to climb a fence obsticle. He pinned himself in between the two bars and he had extreme amount of difficulty in getting out. In fact he could only get out once the course had been destructed. He was feeling acutely embarresed and humiliated. Next tournament he'll try to improve his technique abilities.

Andrew Rather and Maria Heaterton faced each other in the Round of 32, in the maze it was Andrew that dominated, Andrew and Maria had alot of experience against each other and it was frequently Andrew that had came out on top for the majority. And despite this Maria using her knowledge of Andrew came very close to catching him with the target and causing a draw. However Andrew managed to trick Maria to head down a long way while he took a shorter root that had an obsticle what Andrew seemed to deal with fairly easily. Andrew got to the end and Maria was about, in the end 10 seconds behind

Two Quakmybushian Kleptochasers Left

The Quakmybush Kleptochasers have been playing in the AOKCC for the past while. All 4 of the Kleptochasers made it to the round of 32, however only two are left. These two are Alfred St-Jacques, and Vladimir Petrovič. St-Jacques made it to the next round by defeating fellow Quakmybushian Joshua Hoffman. While Vladimir Petrovič made it to the sweet 16 by defeating Étienne Moreau of Oliverry. Next up St-Jacques will be taking on Andreas SteepleMouse of Miceland. While Petrovič will take on Viliama Riistamii of Vilita.
