(SECRET IC UNTIL ASSASSINATION)
The Praetorian arrived at the airport security check after a long 2 hour flight from Orichalc. He did not want to come all this way only to be turned back by simple security.
A guard motioned for him to place his luggage on the conveyor belt that fed into an X-Ray machine and to place all metallic items within his pockets, etc. in the small plastic container... to his left.
The single bag passed through the machine, the guard monitoring the screen glanced at it, seeing nothing of concern continued eating his jelly filled donut. Had he looked a little closer he might have noticed the bag was just that, a bag. The x-rays could not penetrate the thin layer of composite material located within the skin of the bag that protected its valuable contents from any spying eye.
As the Praetorian stepped through the metal detector his bag was just getting out of the machine. He took his watch, necklace, and ring from the container, grabbed his bag, nodded to security, and headed out the door to the Novus Atlantican embassy. He grabbed a cab, it was stinky, the driver was fat and smelled like some kind of dead animal, but he had to make haste.
Upon arrival he greeted his friends and comrades and made sure to stop by and chat with the contingent of Praetorians on duty. He opened his bag, careful to not let anyone peek inside, took out a data pad, tapped a large red key, and placed it back in his bag. He checked his watch, he had about 34 minutes to get into position before the motorcade reached his location.
As he strode out the door of the embassy Deviath Fyr recieved the transmission in Orichalc. It was a small burst of data, simply acknowleding the Praetorian had arrived at the embassy. However this transmission was crucial to the entire operation, had it not been made the Novus Atlantican government would have assumed the Praetorian for dead (even if he was not) and would have had to intiate Operation: Expressive Strike. The burst had to be made within the Novus Atlantican embassy where it would not be able to be triangulated by SE satellites. Fyr nodded his head and proceeded to the Grand Chamber where he would inform the Imperator of the status of the operation.
It was about 8:09, not as dark as he would like it, but still quite dark. He had about 14 minutes now before the motorcade made its stop at the park where GenGangrene1 would be honoring the construction of SE's newest statue... Of GenGangrene1 himself.
The statue wasn't all that impressive, Falxius had seen better, much better. Even the children of Novus Atlantica could make better statues than these people. But it was not his place to criticize the artwork of Soul Expression, his job was clear, and any distraction would compromise the entire operation.
He noted the guards placed, seemingly, sporadically about the park. The crowd standing exactly where NA intelligence had placed them and the podium with its rear exposed to him. Everything was working in his favor. Then he saw the lights of the head car of the motorcade. It made a stop then the rest of the procession came up and stopped as well, guards hustled out of the cars securing the walk for GenGangrene1.
After the guards had moved into position an interesting figure rised out of the limousine, words could not describe it, it was simply a being... But Falxius knew that was his target. He opened his bag, took out the scope, the stock and the barell, he re-assembled his rifle, ensured the tungsten shell was in place and rested the gun on the bipod, following GenGangrene1's movement to the podium.
It seemed an eternity by after countless hand-shakes and hearty laughs GenGangrene1 reached the stage, he sat in his seat, and some other lesser government official stood up and proceeded to raise the carbon dioxide level of the world by about 30%. Then some delegate from an art committee spoke, then a child representing the SE education system. It went on like this for almost two hours before GenGangrene1 even got up to the podium.
From there he proceeded to ramble on and on about how the nation of SE was so great, how everything was prosperous, and how their greatest ally, Novus Atlantica, would soon contribute to a great research project.
At this moment, Falxius pulled the trigger. The super dense tungsten shell accelerated by magnetism sped through the air. It didn't even make a sound from when the trigger was pulled to the point where it shattered the skull of GenGangrene1. Falxius saw it through his scope. The sheer kinetic force that impacted the SE leader was tremendous. The skull literally exploded into a fountain of blood, bits of skull, and brain matter.
Then the chaos broke out and it would not end until SE had fallen.
"A pity, that such arrogant fools did not make any contingency plans for the death of their leader. I shall greatly enjoy watching their nation collapse."
Falxius packed up his rifle and headed back to the Novus Atlantican embassy. It was 10:36, he had 24 minutes to get back before the weekly shuttle transport left without him...
