If someone would be assed to TELL me if I wasn't going to get an island when I RP'd its discovery and sending people to it, I might not be so ticked. It appears Sarz didn't hold it after all, especially if CH still had it as an empty space. And Sarz *did* have two days to see Kakin's request and raise a red flag before CH updated. So I don't know - is this a "you snooze, you lose" situation, or something else? |

Bull[EXPLETIVE DELETED]. If I didn't get that island after my RP of its discovery and its acquisition, someone should have told me after I made the RP, not months later. I recall that I raised this very issue MONTHS ago and I was told to "calm down," but no action was taken when I raised it previously.
I will not submit to arbitration, nor will I agree to have an island I've RP'd as mine for well over a year be taken by someone else unless it's taken in a war. |

Assuming that the island listed as #4 on both v. 3.0 and 2.5 of the map is the island Sarz refers to as New Granzi, there does appear to be a conflict in its location between the two, as the cartographers have always placed it north of Sarz's placement, putting it off the coast of Ryloss, rather than Sarzonia. That doesn't make the island any less Sarz's, but it should be noted.
Actually, looking at both the 3.0 and 2.5 maps, I'm not sure why CH made the mention of numbering islands near Sarzonia, as the only difference was the numbering of island 1, south of Milchama. Island #4 has been island 4 even before now, and he didn't number your claims in the Crystilakerean Channel, which are clearly yours. |

A tall and bulky man in a coat arrives in front of the gates at the Presidential Manor. The chauffer gets back in the car and drives away. The solider at the gates walks towards the man to try and talk to him. Instead the mysterious man shouts a cry:
“ARISE, YE MEN!”
All of a sudden men, women and children come out from the street behind the position where the car came from. The youngest of which is at the front. The young child opened a pocket and pulled out an old fashioned revolver and shot the guard in the leg. He killed the guard.
The mobs lead by the man in the coat break through the gates of the palace. He yells again to his followers:
“My dream is true; this weakling will pay the price. I will name myself King Harr the Great!”
The palace was taken in a breeze.

yes, it is. the size of your country will depend on the cartographer, of course, but you may request certain features in your RP (like a long coastline, to be landlocked in 18, etc., for example)

Well, the best way is by making a new thread RPing the acquisition of the land. You can come up with things like settling it, how your people originated from there, etc. 'Go to the first post in this thread for examples of decent RPs to claim land.
Also, don't forget to get yourself an original flag, to post as an avatar. There's a flag request thread somewhere in one of the Regional Discussion subforums, if you need assistance. |

Quick Background
The nation was founded by several groups of indigenous speakers of the language known now as Sushiian Symbol. These tribes include the Gunkans in the Northwest, the Ikuran in the East, the Jades in the Southwest, and the Nimamaroni in the North. Prior to symbol tribes, there were tribes that spoke an unknown dead language known as Nilimishawi. The Nimamaroni is the tribe closest related to the psat tribes.
Geography
According to the AO regional map, the nation of Northern Sushi has a legitimate claim to spot 18.
The tallest mountain in the nation is Mt. Vilidulawaskinish near the center of the nation northeast of Toro. The mountain is 8,052 ft. tall. The lowest place in the nation is Seawater Gulch, near the Milchama border, at a level of -13 ft.
The southern seas of the nation are warm for the most part and have a Mediterranean style climate. Temperatures peak at about 80 degrees F. The inland valleys are usually between 70 and 90 degrees F. The northern coasts have a marine west coast climate and temperatures peak at about 65 F. The nation is mostly dry, except the high northern inland mountains and areas near Mt. Vilidulawaskinish.
Natural resources in the nation include small deposits of gold and silver. The main resources however are agriculture products like tomatoes, grapes, and wheat. 72% of the inland valleys are irrigated, while 84% is arable.
Natural disasters include wildfires and earthquakes. The Oceanic fault curves through the nation and splits it in two.

In Myrtannian elections, the people of each of Myrtannia's eight states vote in a popular election for both the Senate of the Republic and the Presidency. A candidate must have a majority of the vote (above 50%) to be elected, or face a run-off with the closest finishing opponent two weeks from the originally scheduled election date. Each state has three senators, who serve a four year term after being elected with no term limit. The President serves a five year term, and has a three term limit.
In addition, there is a High Court of Justice that judges whether certain laws are constitutional or not. Five judges sit on the High Court, and serve ten year terms once confirmed by the Senate. Nominees must also be endorsed by the Ministry of Justice and the President before being put up for confirmation.

Geographic location: According to Myrtannian sources, the Allied States would be located in location number 2, just south of Lamoni and east of Hiraan. While only a moderate sized nation, it occupies more than one island.
The main island (just south of Lamoni) is mostly filled with naturalized vegitation (trees, brush, etc.), though it does boast the impressive Mt. Campbell, a permanantly dormant shield volcano 13,000 feet high and several miles wide at its base. Foothills dot the landscape for miles around the mountain, and the terrain is a popular tourist spot.
Other features include a long coast line on one of the secondary islands, which also sports much vegitation and a few ranges of hills, as well as two as yet unnamed mountains farther inland.

Brief history: The Allied States of Myrtannia began life as two separate entities - the Tans of the main island, who were largely Bhuddists of pale complexion, and the Mrytas of parts of the main island as well as the secondary islands who were largely Muslim. After initial discovery of each other, the two sides grew to respect each other, and relied on one another for support. Finally, approximately a century and a half ago, the two socities had merged into one. The Allied States were founded on the symbiotic relationship that had developed over years of brotherhood. Since the founding, immigrants have added more diversity to Myrtannia, the largest group of which indentifies themselves as Lamonian-Myrtannians. |
