The Grand Shura of Bettia has announced that Malik bin Thomas, son of the former UN delegate and current Foreign Secretary Anisah Hopkins, is the Bettian candidate for the position of UN delegate.
In keeping with his mother's tenure (and indeed all previous delegates), all UN resolutions will be put to the regional vote with a yes/no/abstain option. In the event of a tie, the delegate will get the casting vote, regardless of whether or not he voted for any of the tied options. The views of Bettia and of AO would also be presented in the main UN forum.
If elected, a number of UN proposals will also be put to the vote, just like his mamma used to, as proposals are just as important as the resolutions themselves. He would also like for AO to become more involved in the UN by proposing resolutions of our own or aiding any nations who wish to do so. Therefore, we would request that all UN members within AO should ensure that each member has at least two endorsements to enable them to put their proposals forward. |

The Most Serene Republic of Western Afghanistan announces its candidate for Atlantian Oceania UN representative.
Wahab Al-Yihaya has been a prominant Afghan Anarchist Party politician from Qala-i-Naw in Badghis Province. He spent six years working with current Under-Secretary of Foreign Affairs Yasmira Al-Redil in the 2052 Faryab Environmental Protection Commission. His positions are fully compatible with those of the AAP.
Western Afghanistan as a state acknowledges its extreme youth within the region. Our merits are not in our experience, rather, we can promise democratic management for regional voting. The West Afghan government's vote will be explained and defended in detail on the forums. Other positions will be encouraged to be presented as well, though certainly not required.
As a voting nation, Western Afghanistan has tended to avoid approving poorly-worded legislation, and has supported the repeal of redundant previously existing resolutions. A more detailed summary of our voting history is available at the official site of our Prime Minister: www.freewebs.com/abduldukhirahiq
