Slicked back, oily black hair, deeply tanned skin, a goatee beard and a perfect-teeth cheesy smile. Lord Rodrigo Marquez: perhaps what Tiberius Starblayde would have looked like if he came from a broken home and had been dipped in tar. Marquez was Starblaydia's representative at the United Nations, notorious for loud drunken gatherings in the Starblaydi offices.

Today, though, he was at one of the many podiums erected in and around the United Nations building for press conferences by member nations. A Starblaydi flag was quickly erected behind Marquez, next to the UN flag, and Marquez began his speech.

"With dark clouds having fallen, quite literally, over Legalese once more, we see that very little communications are coming in or out of that nation, most prominently communications regarding the United Nations itself. With Miss Cappaverde now incommunicado, I call for fresh, free and fair elections to select a new Delegate for Atlantian Oceania, as tradition dictates.

I also wish, at this time, to put myself forward as a candidate for the Delegacy, to represent this great and glorious region on the world stage. Thankyou."

Supposedly, the following message was intercepted by a member of the Vilitan National Business Journal while vacationing on a yacht off the coast of VOIA. There are some reports that he had entered restricted waters, however these have not yet been confirmed.

Before he was taken in to questioning, the man passed off his sketchy handwritten transcript of the intercepted message, which was printed in the Vilita National the next day. It is unknown who either of the voices were.

QUOTE

A: but I thought we've never much supported the UN and all that hogwash, eh?

B: Right son, right you are. But we've never much hated them either. They do good things for some less fortunate in their national position as us, and they are still an important presence in the region, despite their lack of authority here on the Islands.

A: I never thought of it that way, sir.

B: Well that's why I'm who I am and you are who you are, isn't it? Anyway, the delegation from Legalese has been taking a lax stand on things of late, and perhaps we should just help nudge someone else into the fray, what do you think? Any place you would be keen on visiting for a week or so with the kids?

A: Well sure sir, we've been really meaning to take a tri..

According to the man's notes, the transmission became scrambled at this point, and shortly after his yacht was back to the mainland.

A female political news reporter standing infront of the Bazalonian Parlimentary building

At 1 o'clock today, Prime Minister Hawdon announced to the world his intention of running a candidate for the office of Atlantian Oceania's United Nations delegate.

<video of the announcement>

John McKay, Bazalonia's current ambassador to the UN, will be Bazalonia's candidate as he has already been given approval by the Prime Minister. John McKay as of the current situation is a delegate hopeful as long as Starblaydia's Lord Rodrigo Marquez and an Member of Parliment from the Islands of Qutar, Seth Adams.

<pictures of all three person appear on the screen once they are started to be talked about

A more detailed account of the delegates will be forth coming once the official campaign has started but according to an anonymous source within the government we had already received support from at least one nation, not only that but there had been discussions about a potential running for the position with the Legalese government.

However, we have yet to confirm this with evidence of any sort and the government's spokesperson has been quick to deny that any sort of campaigning in regards to the UN delegate position. We will bring you more information as it comes. I'm Angela Tracer, for Baz& Network News, Fauxhan
