I was considering running a "Light Competition" - potentially continuing one of the old competitions or a sport we haven't done before. If you guys like the idea I will put the sport to a poll. These would also help guage interest levels in other sports that we have dabbled in the past, as well as allow everyone to participate together in other events without an overwhelming time commitment.
Think of it as falling somewhere between the AOCAF where scores (and RP windows) come every 24 hours, and the AOCL, where the entire results are posted at one time.
In the Light competition structure, the schedule would look like this:
1) Tournament Announced. Signup by posting a roster or making a signup post then editing in a roster later Duration: 7-10 Days
2) Group / First Stage Draw takes place --- Post your RPs Duration: ~1 Week
3) Entire Group / First Stage Scorinated and posted at once, Knockout/Second Phase draw posted --- Post your RPs Duration: ~1 Week
4) Scores up to Semi-Final (or Final depending on # of signups/rounds) posted --- Semi-Finalists/Finalists post final RPs Duration: ~1 Week
5) Final Scores posted
So the whole schedule from signup to final scores is about a month, with a 1 week window for rosters and 3 separate 1 week windows for RP to be posted.
