The Smashmouth from ASMV is pleased to return once again to AO Bowl competition. Last time around was a great experience for us, and though we did not win a single game, everyone who had the pleasure of experiencing the Smashmouth defense can attest we were no pushover.
This edition of the Smashmouth has evolvced into what can almost be descibed as having some semblance of an offense. This evolution is due to the developement of #23 Cornell Kronstedt at halfback. Kronstedt has improved his ball handling signifigantly and should be more dominant in his performance. The when you add the very bulky and powerful O-line with a bulldozer for a fullback,Robby Ransburg 300lbs, and the running game should be very effective. The offensive line averages 339lbs and in the left guard position is a literal mountain in the form of 410lb Hung Xu.
But defense is still the key factor for the Smashmouth. Defensive ends Lon Bednarik and Aaron Kawolkowski look to have plenty of free time to chase down QBs as the massive DT duo of Elder Pleasant (340lbs) and Genaro Maltbe (380lbs) will more than likely plug the middle, forcing things to go wide. And that is where the pure speed of ASMV linbackers will come into play. All 3 are among the fastest in the world at their positions. CB Ezra Wonjowski may be the best defensive player on the team and perhaps even the whole competition.
With a very solid running game and hard-nosed, explosive defense, the Smashmouth will look to make some real noise in this 2nd edition of the AOBowl. We wish everyone here the best of luck - unless of course, you happen to be facing us. |

Suns Rise in AO Bowl II Opener
Myrtannia 34, Krytenia 30
ANDESTRANNE, Nedalia - In only the second inter regional sporting event the nation has participated in, Myrtannia's team got started off on the right foot. Against what T Malcom Ceronsky called "A no-name Kyrtenia team", the Suns played better than most 'experts' at home could have predicted. Against the team with no roster, coach, or even nickname announced, Mytrannia had a close-fought, but ultimately victorious undergoing at Parkston Field.
The game started out as a see-saw battle, neither team really coming into its own, the score reaching 21-21 at the half. Myrtannia's touchdowns came on a 23-yard run by Leif Gonzalez, and TD passes from Korey Cellupica to Shon Bagu (8 yards) and Zeluma Curleyhair (12 yards). It would be in the second half that the Suns rose to the occasion.
Coming quick out of the gates, kick returner Toney Netrosio (also starting CB) took the opening kickoff of the second half all the way back for a 90 yard TD return. A kick by Ha Esoimeme made the talley 28-21. The defense held Krytenia to field goals on their opponent's next three drives.
Myrtannia then scored on a second TD strike from Cellupica to Curleyhair, this time a 31 yard toss in which the AO Bowl's first female reciever displayed awesome flexibility and maneuverability on her way to the end zone. For whatever reason, unorthodox coach Hong Beebout decided to go for the 2 point conversion, which ended up as an incomplete pass from Cellupica to Leif Gonzalez. With the score now 34-30 after Krytenia's most recent field goal, Myrtannia was anxious for a stop defensively, and that is just what they got.
A pass intended to go deep was intercepted by FS Felton Gjesdal, who was knocked out of bounds moments later. After that, Cellupica simply kneeled it, and the game clock ran out. Myrtannia had won 34-30, victorious in their first AO Bowl appearance. Next up for the Suns is ASMV Smashmouth, who won an AO Bowl game for the first time on day 1.
"They're a frigthening defense, that's for sure," commented coach Beebout, "It'll be a real battle out there - they were scary in AO Bowl I, but they may just be tougher now. They're also riding on their first victory, so who knows what's going to happen? All I can guarantee is that the Suns will be ready."

World Turned Upside Down for Stingrays
HORNSFIELD, Nedalia (ASP) -- 31 MARCH 2006 -- During the last AO Bowl tournament hosted by the Sarzonian national gridballers, the Stingrays finished the group stage with an 0-3 mark, including a 34-30 loss to eventual champions Space Union. Nedalia finished 2-1 but just missed out on the playoffs. After Matchday One of AO Bowl II in Nedalia, the Stingrays snapped their winless streak and Space Union lost a gridball match for the first time, with Sarzonia defeating host nation Nedalia 34-20.
Coach Joe Gibbs's decision to entrust the defence to assistant head coach Gregg Williams paid dividends as the Stingrays held Nedalia to 195 yards of total offence. They forced five turnovers and sacked Ali Khaled four times. Only two Hail Mary passes at the end of both halves prevented the score from being more lopsided in Sarzonia's favour.
"We just did a great job of controlling the line of scrimmage," said Gibbs, noting that the Stingrays held the ball for 34 minutes to Nedalia's 26. "When you can do that, you can accomplish a lot of good things.
"It's a relief [to win for the first time after going 0-3 in the first AO Bowl], but we've got a lot of real good teams in this tournament."
For one match, at least, the Stingrays (1-0) began to look like one of those teams. Most fans of the Stingrays have circled Matchday Four on their calendars with a tilt against formerly close allies Pacitalia in the offing. The political situation between the two nations deteroriated rapidly after the two nations began to make inroads toward repairing tense relations, but Gibbs is telling his team to focus on gridball.
"We can't afford to worry about what's going on between our countries when we've got a real tough Bettia team up next. We're going to have to work real hard to stop that offence." |

Hawks run through Milchama, 41-37
With a decision to go for two after the opening touchdown, and a field goal in the last three minutes of the game, the Hawks defeated Milchama by four points. This victory puts the Hawks in second place in the west, due to point differential; and that is not a bad place to be.
Next up for Lamoni will be Nojika. The Hawks soundly trounced Nojika in the last AO Bowl, and predictions are that Lamoni will be able to do it again. However, Coach Boldman looks at it in a different way, "While it is true that we trounced Nojika in the last AO Bowl, it would be a mistake to let our gaurd down for even a moment this time. After all, Sarzonia did not fare that well in the last AO Bowl, but they have won a game already. I'll keep the men doing what works."
With the looks of the teams gathered to play in THIS AO Bowl, it looks like Lamoni will have a much improved chance this time around; but only time will tell. |

Smashmouth Defense Returns - And Brought Along Some O

If one stops and looks at the scores you can easily see that the AOBowl is almost completely dominated by offense. That is, of course, until you look at the score involveing ASMV. Once again we are proud to boast about our defense. This second edition of the AOBowl has that in common with the first. But this time we have an offense to go with all that D.
Now on to the game stats.
Cornell Kronstedt did just what he was supposed to do and followed behind the massive O-line and FB Robby Ransburg to the tune of 149 yards and a 4th quarter touchdown to seal the game. The Nojika defense seemed to run out of gas after dealing with the very large and very powerful "Bulldozers" as the O-line has taken to calling themselves.
QB Stevie Wurtzel was efficient as he threw for 160 yards with 0 interceptions. TE Herschell Mervin led ASMV recievers with 5 catches for 57 yards. Kicker Sabrina Kaitlyn (yes - she's a girl) added fieldgoals from 35,21, and 57 to make up the rest of the 16-3 victory.
Now to the stats we love. DE Aaron Kawolkowski blasted through for 3 sacks in the game while the other end, Elder Pleasant collected 2 for himself. The big guys inside shut down the inside running game and 380lb Genaro Maltbe even steamrolled the QB once himself.
The linebackers were great as well, chasing down runningbacks as they tried to get to the corners. Lonnie Ugland led the team in tackles for the game with a massive 17 of them.
The secondary proved to be a little suspect as they allowed a ton of yards through the air. But CB Ezra Wonjowski made up for some of that with 3 picks on the day.
Next up for the Smashmouth is a date to dance with the Suns of Myrtannia who today defeated Krytenia 34-30. In a postgame interview, Head Coach Jasper Hurtz had this to say. "They (Myrtannia) have a great offense. We will have to control that to win the game. They seem to respect our defense a good deal - Even calling them "Scary". We hope they really feel that way. And you can bet we will do our best to prove it."

Stingrays improve to 2-0, drop Bettia
Two games, two potent offences. Yet, the Sarzonian national gridball team registered its second 34-20 win in as many matchdays of the second AO Bowl, defeating Bettia by that scoreline to set it up as the only unbeaten team left in the Eastern Conference. The team will face defending AO Bowl champions Space Union in Matchday Three.
"Once again, we were able to impose our will offensively," Coach Joe Gibbs said. "When you're able to run the ball for four or five yards a pop, it makes a huge difference. We were running for an average of 4.1 yards per carry in the second half when Bettia started playing eight man fronts. That says a lot about our line play."
Running back Ervin Jones rushed for 143 yards on 31 carries, including a 71 yard touchdown run that put Sarzonia ahead 17-10 late in the second quarter. Gibbs's call for an onside kick after Jones's score surprised everyone on Bettia and Gibbs immediately went to the air with quarterback Mark Bryan firing a 46 yard scoring strike to H-Back Chris Cooley to give the Stingrays the lead and momentum heading into the second half.
"You score just before the half and you can dictate the first five minutes of the third quarter," Bryan said. "We had to make sure we were able to keep Bettia off the scoreboard as much as possible. Thankfully, we were able to do that."
Sarzonia (2-0) face Space Union next, then follow up with a match against Pacitalia, a nation whose relationship with Sarzonia has been a "rollercoaster," according to Bryan.
"We're trying hard to focus on our next game but all the speculation about what effect the political situation is going to have on the game itself is not going to be easy to ignore," he said. |

The Best Defense is a Good Offense; Suns Soar Past Smashmouth
Myrtannia 23, Andossa Se Mitrin Vega 10
ANDESTRANNE, Nedalia - Going into matchday 2 at the Second AO Bowl, the Mytrannia Suns were riding high on the hog after a 34-30 victory over Krytenia. They were admittedly a little nervous going into the day's game against the Andossa Se Mitrin Vega (ASMV) Smashmouth, known for their potent defense. Smashmouth had won a game for the first time on day 1, so it was a battle of two unbeaten squads. Coach Hong Beebout even went as far as to call the Smashmouth's defense "Frightening".
The Suns had come in known for their offense, mostly, which helped rally to score 23 points in the second half against Krytenia after a 21-21 tie at the break. Suns WR Zulema Curleyhair became the first woman to score a touchdown in an AO Bowl game, then the first woman to score two in a single game. While the Smashmouth defense seemed imposing, the Suns simply put aside any nervousness when the charged out onto the field.
True to its reputation, Smashmouth came out with a strong defensive stand in the first quarter, holding the potent Suns offense scoreless. Meanwhile, ASMV managed to do what had been impossible in AO Bowl I - they scored a touchdown, and on offense! The extra point made it 7-0 at the end of the first, and Smashmouth looked like it might pick up a second win in a row if it could keep the defense going.
Myrtannia, however, had other ideas. On the first drive of the second quarter, Myrtannia stormed back, with three successive first down runs by Leif Gonzalez. Then, Korey Cellupica dropped back and found a ray of sunshine amongst some tough coverage by the ASMV defense - no pun intended. He hurled the ball with deadly accuracy, finding WR Shon Bagu for a 22 yard TD strike caught just inside the back of the end zone. A replay proved Bagu had both feet in bounds when he made the catch, and the extra point by Ha Esoimeme tied things at 7 apiece.
ASMV came right back later in the second quarter, driving into field goal range as the seconds ticked away toward the end of the quarter and the half. The Suns' defense held them, however, and forced Smashmouth to kick a field goal. At the break, ASMV led 10-7, and still looked likely to walk away with the W if their vaunted defense could do the job as they had before.
This time, however, the Suns struck hard and often, showing that they weren't afraid of their opponent's reputation on defense. About midway through the third, the Suns scored what was to put them up for good. Cellupica found his favorite target, Zulema Curleyhair open down field and threw it with his usual deadly accuracy. Zulema did the rest, almost literally dancing around the Smashmouth defenders en route to a 30 yard TD. Esoimeme's kick made it 14-10 Myrtannia.
From there, the Suns never looked back, and the Myrtannia defense made a show of things. A pass early in the fourth was picked off by CB Gaylord Ochalek, setting up yet another drive for the Suns. This time, it was Leif Gonzalez's running that brought the Suns inside ASMV's 20. Cellupica threw one last TD to Warner Brentano, a 12 yard strike that, followed by Esoimeme's kick, made it 21-10 Myrtannia. The second half domination didn't end there, however - Ha nailed the kickoff, landing it inside the 10 - and the Suns took down ASMV's kick returner inside the 5 to boot.
On the very next play, something very odd happened - MLB Wally Delbo found a hole in ASMV's offensive line, stormed through, and took down Steve Wurtzel for a sack and the safety. Both were firsts for Myrtannia. With the score standing 23-10, Myrtannia played keep away after getting the ball back, and ended up taking a knee one more time to end the game and send the Suns fans into a fervor. With the Sun Burst waving triumphantly in the crowd, the Suns celebrated their second straight win - and, strangely enough, rose by default to the top of the group standings. Despite the vaunted defense, Myrtannia found a way to dominate, and did so. The Suns OL held the large (literally) ASMV DL, allowing no sacks of Korey Cellupica.
Smashmouth's defense gave up the most points in team history, as Myrtannia dominated through 3 quarters of play en route to the victory.
At 2-0, the Suns are one of only two unbeaten teams remaining, the other being Sarzonia in the Eastern Conference. The future may indeed be bright for the Suns, who, by strict order of coach Beebout, practice hard for every game, no matter the opponent.
"It's just the way Myrtannian sports works - you work hard, you get results. We saw that in the AOCOC, and we're seeing it here," Beebout commented.
In the meantime, QB Korey Cellupica said this of the now 1-1 ASMV team, "They really had our number in the first half - they're a great team, but we found a way to win. We'll probably see this team later if they can stay in control defensively; today, we just got into a rythm and kept hammering away."
Next up for the undefeated Suns is Nojika, who are 1-1 after pulling off a stunning victory over Lamoni. Naturally, after such a performance as Nojika had, Myrtannia won't take this opponent lightly.
"They pulled off a win over Lamoni, and it was no fluke - they did their job and got the win. We've got a big target on our helmets now that we're 2-0 and leading the pack, but if we work as hard as always, I think we can pull this one out. They're kind of like Krytenia - they seem like a no-name team, but they can surprise you if they catch you with your pants down," stated Suns linebacker Wally Delbo.

Hawks drop the ball
With a 8 point 26-34 loss to the no name team from Nojika, the Hawks have dropped to 4th place in the west. The game was very close until Nojika scored a touchdown and went for two in the last minute of the game. Lamoni got close to the end zone, but not close enough when a Nojikan defenseman intercepted a Jeffery Blum pass to WR Charles Davis in the end zone itself. After that, Nojika just ran down the clock to seal their victory.
"We were just outplayed when we should have dominated," Coach Boldman said. "This is what happens when you let your gaurd down against even so called 'no name' teams. This just means that we will have to work twice as hard against our next opponent, Krytenia."
Indeed, it is not known whether Lamoni has faced Krytenia in the AO Bowl before; despite both nations slugging it out in the AOCAF a few times. We rather doubt it, however. With a lesson of this magnitude dropped on the Hawks from Nojika, we feel that Lamoni will not make the same mistake with Krytenia. |

Smashmouth Get Smashed
Today ASMV faced off against offensive powerhouse Myrtannia on Day 2 of the AOBowl. This was a classic batlle of Offense vs Defense. And unfortunately for us, Offense would win this one.
Things started out according to plan for the Smashmouth. The first quarter saw the huge O-line open some massive holes for Cornell Kronstedt as he ammassed 75 rushing yards on the first drive and capped it with a 2 yard plunge for 6. Sabrina Kaitlynn added the extra point and ASMV had a 7-0 lead. With the defense we have that would normally be enough.
But the second quarter opened with a flurry for Myrtannia as Korey Cellupica found a wide open Shon Bagu for a 22 yard TD to even the score. The replay showed just how good the catch was, as Bagu barely kept both feet in.
ASMV ran the ball right back down the field and looked poised to score again. but a botched snap, and the near sack that followed, forced a Kaitlynn Feild Goal to send ASMV to the locker room up by 3. Now if the secondary could hold up in the second half.................
That would not happen. Myrtannia lit up the defense through the air. The same thing had happened in the first game, but the defense managed to hold when it counted. Today they did not. 2 more TDs from Cellupica would seal the win for the Suns.
Then ASMV hit rock bottom. They allowed the first Mytannia sack and it also was (arguably) a safety - also a first for the Suns. The replay clearly showed Wurtzel was beyond the end zone by nearly a foot. But the officials saw it differently.
Final Score: ASMV 10 - 23 Myrtannia
Next up for the Smashmouth comes a very important game against Milchama - yet another very offensive oriented team. Milchama is 0-2 while ASMV is 1-1. The game has huge implications for moving on in the tourney. Lots of work needs to be done in the secondary for the Smashmouth to have any hopes of competing for the title. We can not continue to give up those kinds of yards in the air and hope to win.

"Obviously we would've preferred a win, but against a team of Sarzonia's calibre, a defeat wasn't too unexpected. They love their gridball."
"Still, if there's any consolation, it's in the fact that you're the most offensively minded team in the tournament so far."
"What?! That's a downright lie, we're very good-mannered! I mean, just look at some of the other teams - the Nojikans belched their way through the entire national anthem, and I also heard rumours that one of Lamoni's running backs lit one of his own farts in the hotel lobby. Now THAT'S offensive!"
"No no, I meant that Bettia's offense has been extremely effective, scoring more points than anyone else."
"Oh... right, I see what you mean. Yes, umm, our offense has been top notch so far. Just take our first game - to rattle up a half-century in a comptetive match is great, but to do that against the cup holders is simply amazing."
"So what happened today then?"
"Well, there was nothing wrong with our offense - their's was just better than ours on the day. I know there will be some people wanting to blame the defence for this defeat, but that'd be out of order. We don't do defence, as we say in the Blessed Realm."
"Yes, quite. Attack all the way! So... any thoughts on the next game?"
"Ah yes, Pacitalia - Bettia's perennial bogey team. They've turned us over in Under-21 football and in ice hockey, so maybe we can redress the balance a bit with a win. We'll have to be on top of our game, but who knows?"
"Indeed... who knows? Gridball's a funny old game. Geraint, thanks for your time, and it's back to the studio." |

Rising Suns - Myrtannia Pound Nojika, Remain In First

AANJAR, Nedalia - Thus far in the Second AO Bowl, the Myrtannia Suns have taken their opponents through the air, dominating thoroughly on offense to achieve victory. Day three's opponent was something of an enigma - they'd lost on day one, but came out of nowhere to beat Lamoni. There were at least a few people predicting another upset by another 'no name' team in the Myrtannia v. Nojika matchup. However, once again, the Suns stuck to their gameplan, and beat Nojika on the way to remaining unbeaten.
Korey Cellupica, in particular, was determined not to let the Suns go down to one of the 'no-names', as he routinely barked out enouragement from the sideline or on the field during practices and the game itself. Despite the previous upset Nojika pulled, Myrtannia's overwhelming offensive assault was simply too much for them to handle. The team that threw its way past the talented Smashmouth defense blew away Nojika's.
Unlike in the ASMV game, Myrtannia came out scoring first, dominating ball possession in the first quarter. Leif Gonzalez ran the ball for most of the plays - a strategy which forced Nojika to bring in its players, freeing up the secondary. After a 73 yard drive down the field, Gonzalez capped it with a 5 yard TD run that put Myrtannia on the scoreboard first. Ha Esoimeme converted the kick to make it 7-0 Suns.
Nojika's luck didn't change any on their first drive, either, as they were forced into a 3rd and long situation, then had a pass intercepted by Gaylord Ochalek, who had a big pick against ASMV. Another Gonzalez-driven march down the field set up a 35 yard field goal by Esoimeme, making it 10-0 at the end of the first. Nojika finally scored in the second, making it 10-7, but that would be as close as it would get.
The Suns struck back in convincing fashion, this time through the air, 82 yards down the field. Capping this drive was a 34-yard TD strike from Cellupica to Warner Brentano. On its next two drives, Nojika suffered two more turnovers (both interceptions - one by Felton Gjesdal, one by Ochalek), one of which set up a scoring drive for the Suns. That resulted in an 8-yard TD pass to Shon Bagu, and with Esoimeme's kick, the score shot up to 24-7. Nojika did manage to score another TD - but missed the extra point, making it 24-13 at the break.
Myrtannia didn't let up in the second half, either, as they came out swinging once again. Korey Cellupica threw for all yardage gained on Myrtannia's longest drive of the game (92 yards), ending with a 10 yard strike to Zeluma Curleyhair. With the score 31-13, Myrtannia easily had the game in its control, but rather than slack off, the Suns kept pouring it on.
The defense held Nojika to two field goals in the second half, while the offense dominated in the air and on the ground. Cellupica threw his final TD pass to (who else?) Curleyhair in a 25 yard strike that put the Suns even farther ahead. With the score standing at 38-19, Nojika had one last drive, which ended up being a nightmare. The QB was sacked twice in a row, and then to add insult to injury, had yet another pass picked off, this time by Toney Netrosio. From that point on, the Suns just ran the clock down.
When the final gun sounded, the Suns had completed their trouncing of the Nojikans, and set several new records. The game saw the most interceptions by a Suns player and by the team as a whole, most TD passes in a game, most passing yards, most rushing yards, most points in a single game, biggest point differential in a game, and most sacks. At 3-0, the Suns remain in first place in the Western Conference, and have the best record in the AO Bowl at the moment as the only remaining unbeaten team. Much like the curling team representing the Allied States in the AOCOC, the Suns don't plan on letting success blind them from what has to be done now.
"We've done outstandingly well so far, no doubt about that, but we can't let our guard down. The law of averages dictates that anyone can beat anyone on any given day. We just have to make sure we keep coming out on top," commented Suns WR Warner Brentano.
Coach Beebout had this to say, "I don't know what was wrong with Nojika, but we're happy to dominate like that. We're just getting better and better with each passing day. We take each opponent seriously, and prepare our best for them."
Next up for the Suns is a matchup with Milchama, who are coming off their first victory over the staggering ASMV Smashmouth. At 1-2, Milchama seem to be just now finding their groove, but Myrtannia should prove a big problem for them. With the way the Suns' offense has been producing, and the defense's success in stopping opponents dead in the late stages of the game, the Suns should be the favorite to win.
"We want this next game bad," Zeluma Curleyhair said, "If we win, we're 4-0, and we secure a playoff spot. We're taking Milchama just as seriously as we would anyone else - and our practices will show it. We'll work hard, and go out there on Day 4 to show the region our best, just like we always do."

The offense is not doing well for the Warriors as they have failed to score 50 points in one game so far and this has put them in third place with a dissapointing 1-2 record. The Warriors did win their last game against ASMV whose defense minded strategy was not enough to beat the determined Warrior attack. Max Mallard and Kenny Tennion were enough to lead the Warriors to they're first touchdown. They also teamed up for the Milchamian second touchdown. After that touchdown the Warriors went for two after a botched kick and made it after Thomas Boorker caught a pass from holder Colin Wishmael for the two point conversion. After this 15 point lead ASMV came back with some good offense as their running back stromed through the defense to tie the score and get a two point conversion for the 15-15 tie. Then in the second half the Warriors dominated the possesion and coverted that into points as Thomas Boorker scored to make it 21-15. The ensuing kickoff was mishandled by the Smashmouth and was recovred by Colin Wishmael at the two yardline. On the next play though Boorker fumbled and it was recorvered by a Dragonnii. This gave them bad field position which the defense took advantage of when linebacker Terrence Allen beat the O-line of ASMV and sacked quarterback Stevie Wurtzel in the end zone for the safety and the end of the scoring. The Warriors took their first victory 23-15. |

Hawks lose heartbreaker
The Hawks are in the fourth quarter. There's only thirty seconds to go, and Krytenia has the ball on the fifty yard line with a 3rd down and 20. All Lamoni has to do to send the game into overtime is to keep the Kryties from converting. The Krytenian's coume out in a shotgun formation, and everyone and their dog knows that they are going to use the Hail Mary play. When the ball is snapped, the tension builds on this one game changing play; as the Krytenian quarterback throws the ball to a Wide Receiver on the sidelines, missing the blocking Lamonian defenseman. It is ruled a legal catch even though the big screens in the stadium show that both of the Krytenian WR's feet were out of bounds when he caught the ball. On the very next play, the Krytenian kicker is called out to win the game with a forty yard field goal, which he makes handily. The Hawks try valiantly to score with ten seconds remaining, but time runs out before they could do much of anything other than watch one of their own WRs drop the ball in the endzone.
That was how Krytenia netted a 37-40 victory over the Hawks, dropping Lamoni to a record of 1-2; while they still remain in 4th place in the west.
"We were just outplayed in the closing moments of the game." Said Lamonian Coach Boldman. "Outplayed and surprised."
Lamoni faces 5th ranked ASMV next, and we hope that the luck of the Hawks improves for both this game, and the one after it against first place Myrtannia. |

Secondary and Special Teams Suck!!!
Once again the Smashmouth defense failed to produce the results we wanted. And once again it was the secondary that got torched. Milchama had their way through the air in the first half, but All-world HB Cornell Kronstadt kept things even with another great performance. His second TD and the 2pt conversion tied things up at 15. The second half was again forgettable as Milchama scored again to take the lead for good.
The the unthinkable happened. lets flashback to that controversial safety in the Myrtannia game. That one was ruled a safety even though the replay showed otherwise. Why is that important now? Because Milchama recorded a safety in the second half today. 2 safeties in 2 games is completely unacceptable. But there was no doubt about this one. 410lbs LG Hung Xu slipped and took out ASMV's LT and Milchama's DT and DE as well. When Xu falls, someone gets hurt. Too bad it was us this time. Terrence Allen of the Warriors then glided through that gaping hole to catch QB Wurtzel in the end zone.
Oh well. AO Bowl is never kind to us. We will do better in the next game when Xu will fall on someone from the other team.
