From: Ari Elisar, Prime Minister, Confederated Colonies of Casari To: The Leaders of Atlantian Oceania
With this latest crisis in Chacor, I feel that it is time that we finally address something that, in all honesty, we seem to have a severe problem with. This would be, of course, the control of nuclear materials and the technology capable of turning said materials into weapons of mass distruction.
In order to prevent another nuclear crisis in the region, which until now have resulted in military campaigns, considerable spending, and the loss of human life, the government of the Colonies, and our regional allies in ASPIRE, would like to meet with representatives of the other Regional Alliances, along with any other nations eager to putting an end to this continued threat to the region's stability.
The government of Casari is eager to hear your response in these matters.

FROM: Department of State, Office of the President-Elect TO: Ari Elisar CC: Whomever it may concern
We at the Alliance feel that many nations outside the Djacor-Rysonian and Athetistic Right governments develop nuclear weapons without the intention of using them as offensive weapons, but merely develop them as a sort of status sybol as well as a final-use option within their privileges allowed to them as nations with good behavior. Any international organization that evolves into something that can override the government of another nationstate over the will of the government is nothing more than a hopeless endeavour that will never be able to function.
Besides, it seems that Starblaydia is doing a good enough in containing the spread of nuclear weapons. Nations willing enough to sacrifice everything to obtain nuclear weapons will obviously not be stopped by a mere piece of paper. Infact, any nation that develops nuclear weapons is clearly never going to simply obey a distant organization that has no bearing on governmental policy.
Our official stance is to reject any of this nonsense about an overlording international organization that would replace the traditional arm of nation-to-nation diplomacy or conflict. Peace is merely conflict management, and it appears that no one in this region save Starblaydia is any good at it. |

To: Allied States' Department of State From: Lord Isaac Chisoko (isaac@foreign.gov.sb) Re: Nuclear Control Board Proposal
We thank you for your generous words in your recent statement regarding our policies on rogue states and nuclear weapons, it appears we share the same objectives in keeping international hostilities at the barest minimum. Distant organisations who's only purpose in life is to wag their fingers at other nations have always been weak and feeble, useless in the face of determined, unyielding, psychotic states.
Individual nations and alliances must decide whether to take a stand against those who would threaten us with weapons of mass destruction and though such stands can be costly, they are essential for the safety of all. Would that other nations could see this fact and stand beside us in our ocurse of action, rather than jabber and point and tut at our behaviour, then the region would be a safer place to live in.
