Transfer Trail
Two notable transfers in the Overleague as the season gets ever closer.
Phillip Neasden has left Nedalian side Dorpar AC for a tiny fee of just CK1m to join the Everton City Reds. Much speculation has been made over the transfer - JMC Sportswear, owners of the Cheetahs, are also club sponsors of the Reds, and the more cynical of the Krytenian media suspect foul play.
Much less controversial, but no less eyebrow-raising, is the purchase of Druidan star midfielder Ricky Mallon by Ousevale Athletic. The Rivermen paid Coleford Town CK10m for the player, a Krytenian record for an outfielder, and just short of the CK11m record paid by Patriots in the old days of the KEL for Snhp Xtfuinm, the famed Melmond goalkeeper (more of him later).
Management news, and three imports from the defunct Melmond MPL join the management staff of two clubs. Adam Vernazza, Krytenia's most-capped player, will now be leading Ousevale Borough's charge for the title, meanwhile up north Snhp Xtfuinm takes the reigns at Linford United. Finally, former Nova Mercia and Melmond manager David Bixler has become Mercia Bromham coach.

Transfer Trail
Two more quick deals on the eve of the Overleague season.
James Barcali, Krytenian international 'keeper and formerly of the now-defunct Pappano Coppers of Melmond, has signed for Notegia Rangers on a free transfer. Barcali, 30, has signed a three year deal. Finally, Edward Johnson, at 34 a Britannican veteran, has signed for AFC Avidia for a fee of CK1.2m on a player-coach contract. |
