For a start you can have my Fantasy Football team for this year:

CODE
P Cech         Chelsea

J Terry        Chelsea
R Ferdinand    Manchester United
JA Riise       Liverpool
L King         Tottenham Hotspur

F Lampard      Chelsea
F Ljungberg    Arsenal
A Hleb         Arsenal
D Murphy       Charlton Athletic

J Defoe        Tottenham Hotspur
M Forssell     Birmingham City

As for your predictions, BRFC were awful last season, not even having a player with a cool name like Junior Ago-go could save you/them. For them to be promoted you're having a laugh. Plus Southend are way too good to be relegated first off, unless someone shoots Freedy Eastwood.

Yea, Rovers Are Piss. Unfortunately for Southend, League One is not the same pushover that it was last season

Awful? No. Mediocre? Yes. Thankfully the manager's resisted the urge to chop and change as has been the case over the past five or so years, so a bit of squad stability should do us good. From what I've seen, a few people regard us as an outside chance for promotion, at least via the playoffs. Being an eternal optimist, I've gone one better.

As for Saahfend, I didn't rate them that highly last year and I think they'll struggle.

Perhaps City won't get relegated, but seeing as they're consistantly losing £1M a year, maybe they'll go bankrupt first just like they did in '82!

It'll be spending their money on all those lovely new flesh-gold away kits, won't it, Vil? biggrin.gif

City crack me up with some of their novelty away kits - their violet and lime green affair springs immediately to mind.

Lime green and what, sorry? Yellow, did you say? wink.gif

No, violet. You know, like that middle stripe on your flag. A fine colour on its own, but imagine it combined with the most garish shade of green you can think of... step forward Andy Cole.

Lovely.

Looks like BCFC needs to employ some kit designers who aren't blind biggrin.gif

Posted by: Nedalia Aug 3 2005, 11:28 AM
Classic stuff. Who comes up with these designs?

Posted by: Starblaydia Aug 3 2005, 01:10 PM
Someone who is:
  • Colourblind
  • Blind
  • Has no taste
  • Is being paid so is taking the piss
  • A BRFC fan
  • Andy Cole's ex-wife
  • All of the above

Hahaha, Star. By the way, anyone heard where Owen is headed?

Posted by: Starblaydia Aug 4 2005, 05:33 AM
He'll be off to ManUre or Newcastle, afaik. Though Newcastle can't give him Champs League football, which is what he needs.

Arsenal said they don't want him because they're 'not looking for a centre-forward'... so why were they chasing Baptista all bloody summer?

Can't be much fun being behind Raul, Ronaldo, Baptista and Robinho in the pecking order, can it?
