In a cocktail party, held by the Latin embassy in Starblaydia, the NEC-President's dog byte the Stardblaydian prime Minister into this leg.
A secretary of the embassy said, it's his own fault. The governmental dog must have smelled a sausage or something the prime minister probably had in its hand before.

We do not know how the Starblaydian Prime Minister reacted.

Luckily, as the Protectorate of Starblaydia is an autocracy, there is no such thing as a Prime Minister, so the Starblaydi Head of State was untouched. A Council of Ministers, however, does provide advice to the Lord-Protector. We are unsure at this moment which Minister was present at the party.

We are told it might be King Galhim Khazum-Kharad, Lord High Dwarf of Starblaydia. As such, if he was bitten by a dog, it is more than likely that the dog itself was bitten shortly afterwards.

More on this story when we get it.

Maybe we have a greater incident then, because this conartist introduced himself as "prime minister of starblaydia" or as his deputy, this is not completly clear...

Although King Khazum-Kharad's arrogance knows no bounds, it is unlikely that he introduced himself as such. This incident may be more related to the fact that Latao's Embassy staff in Starblaydia should undertake a little more research on their guests before admitting them into the Embassy.

And training their dogs better would be a good idea, too.

OOC: Not quite sure what this thread is actually about, but President Margaret Smith of Druida and his unnamed hepler will throw a little light onto this otherwise pointless situation.

President Smith: "Those Latins believed me!"

Unnamed helper: "Sir?"

Presidemt Smith: "Have you seen the Tribune Tribune today? 'Latin Ambassador confused after biting incident'."

Unnamed helper: "Go on..."

President Smith: "Well, what happened was there was a party at the Latin Embassy in Starblaydia, and a dog bit me. Only, y'know, if it gets out that the President of Druida has been bitten by a dog, the embarrasement would be terrible."

Unnamed helper: "It doesn't say it was you that was bitten in here."

President Smith: "Well, that's when I had a brainwave..."

Unnamed helper: "Oh no..."

President Smith: "Come on, here me out, so I told them I was the Prime Minister of Starblaydia! Genius, eh?"

Unnamed helper: "Well, obviously they believed you, bu..."

President Smith: "Why thank you!"

Unnamed helper: "...but there's a slight problem with that."

President Smith: "There is?"

Unnamed helper: "Yes. Starblaydia hasn't got a Prime Minister."

President Smith: "They... don't?"

Unnamed helper: "No."

President Smith: "Oh."

Unnamed helper: "Sir, considering you are the most well-known man in Druida, and will therefore be recognised in many other nations too, surely saying you were someone else won't fool everyone forever. You'll get recognised."

President Smith: "Well, I haven't so far."

Unnamed helper: "It's only a matter of time. And anyway, what does it matter, you got bit by a dog. Happens all the time."

President Smith: "Does it?"

Unnamed helper: "Yup."

President Smith: "Oh. Perhaps it won't harm me to... ad...mit... it..."

Unnamed helper: "No sir, it won't."

That's trippy.

Imperator Tyrannus looked over the daily news brief, a certain word caught his eye; he kept reading.

"Marivs, why is that these Lataons? Lataoians? whatever they're called insist on referring to themselves as 'Latins'?"

Marivs, who had been thinking of taking a nice nap in his coastal villa, snapped to attention,

"Well, I suppose that... Maybe they are... Hmm... I'm not quite sure, sir."

"Do they speak Latin, like us?"

"No."

"Maybe they are the descendants of the Romans we left behind so long ago...?"

"Well, the genetics tests we took on several 'Latin' tourists revealed that they are as related to us as Starblaydians or Lamonians. Either through mere coincidence or no relation at all."

"So what in the name of the gods gives them the right to call themselves 'Latins'?"

"Perhaps their language, sir; it is, perhaps, a derivative of Latin!"

"Fascinating! I think this warrants a tax cut! Inform the nation immediately!"

(OOC: NA, if you check the history of Starblaydia, you will find that the northern half was conquered by a 'Romanic' Empire, so we may be closer than you think tongue.gif)

OOC: Did I say Starblaydians? I of course meant Tachbians! cool.gif

Chairman Samuel Warzycha has been reading up on these events on a rare day off.

He is now in bed nursing a migraine.

OCC??: Many nation's leaders seem to be sick for dead and spend a lot of time in their bed. I really wonder, how these states can be operated...

Good communication systems. Then, of course, there are the back up leaders. I'm sure many nations have intricate designs of their political fallout.

With the possible exception of Druida.

Oh I'm sure Dave and Jemima Jaffacake would form an excellent government biggrin.gif

Hey! If our leader falls ill, we'll be fine.

However, if his helper becomes ill, then we might have a slight problem...

Posted by: Latao Apr 14 2005, 08:23 AM
So that sick people release their offices doesn't seem to be a discussion in most of these countries ;-)

King Falcon II doesn't have a son yet, so it is likely that if he dies, the throne will be offered to Cmmr Michael Hack, leader of the armed forces.
