Hey Crys, Chacor, Ryloss:

What about naming the Teal landmass on the map? Any ideas?

Do you think the Dark Blue continent (south of Calania) is full enough now?

The Yellow one is Calania, the other ones aren't named. That's about all I know.

Everyone on the same landmass as Lamoni will have to come up with a name for our continent as well. Any suggestions?

After discussions with our neighbour Hypocria, it has been suggested that the green landmass in the southeast corner should be named now that it is fully occupied.

A couple of Bettian suggestions are Verdena and Hijau, both on a green-ish theme (Hijau being Indonesian for green - my wife... sorry, THE PRESIDENT'S wife suggested that one).

I've only briefly skimmed this discussion, so I might be repeating what someone said earlier, but I noticed several things inthis discussion:

1 - That, on initial inspection, the map appears to be outdated.

2 - That the stated purpose of the naming was to speed up colonisation. For that purpose, the consensus rule is fine, but the settlement rule (that a landmass must be settled to a certain degree) is not. The entire purpose, or at least part of it, is that new nations requesting land don't have to say: "You know, that little landmass-thingy down south below such-and-such a nation that looks a bit like a banana turned upside down making love to a stunned herring," but rather: "Tryptonia," or somesuch. Therefore, I suggest that the largest nations come up with names for unsettled or largely unsettled landmasses and that the names rather be changed if eventual settler object violently.

Oh, and for my personal reasons (assuming I actually got area 22, I don't know) pertaining to my nation's history, either "Tchaithara", "Tchaiker" or "Hagarai" for the largest of the two lage islands in the NW, the one on which Nova Roma is situated.

The continents are still the same old continents, as far as I'm concerned, the fact the lines within them change every so often doesnt really matter, does it? Sure, it could do with being as up-to-date as the political map, but all the land is still there, by and large.

Well, it seems the yellow continent has been the only continent to be named...

Can we get some more suggestions going and name the remaining continents?

As for the blue continent, I've got nothing to suggest...
