Time between scorinations
There will be 48 hours between each group matchday, as per convention, and 48 hours as well in the playoffs with the exception of the third place match, which will take place 24 hours after the semifinals. Cutoff times will be announced at a later date.
Location and RL Dates
We'll be running the tournament on NS Sports rather than here. RL dates will be announced once signups have closed, or slightly before if we're confident in a target number.
RP Bonus
As always, quality over quantity, but don't expect a two line answer to the meaning of life to get you full credit. We'll grade on a 0-3 scale with no degradation.
Format
We seek either 32 or 40 teams, preferably, but are of course willing to adjust that if necessary. The best scenario calls for 8 groups with single round robin group play, and then the top two from each groups advancing to the round of 16. From the round of 16, playoffs proceed in bracket format as per convention.
If teams finish with the same number of points, tiebreakers will be, in order: goal differential, head to head result, and head to head goal difference. If teams are still locked after this procedure, there will be a play-in match.
