Are you sure it wasn't our sos-call?
We sent out many from our home planet of Balaal, before, during and after the great storm Humesi...it could also be that the storm interfeared our communications, mixing up our data? We did send out our, then present, coordinates on regulair basis, just in case someone would pick it up.
though, the only thing we are sure of is that some strange white beeb on our system interface led us here....
