Greetings, nations of the Atlantian Oceania region, from the Socialist Union! We are a nation built on the principle of workers' control of the means of production, and state-run programs through central planning - a union of laborers, workers, and farmers at birth, but now a vibrant nation with a stable economy. Our head of state, Comrade Blacher, eagerly anticipates the institution of diplomatic relations with any and all nations in this active region.
Our experts in Hoskva have determined that one place in particular in the region would best suit the Socialist Union's interests. That place would be the position on the official regional map bearing the number 12, the one across the lake from Starblaydia, south of Hockey Canada and Footbalia, north of Druida and Rendition. If there is any information you require, the Socialist Union will be only too happy to provide it.
If the requested space is not available, then we will select another for our location. |

AO normally grants land to nations who either have a good NSwiki article, or a decent factbook on these forums. It's also good form to RP the land takeover. Let Starblaydia, Vilita, or myself know if you need more information. |

Just a little update on this matter:
The whited-out area south of Imminent Implosion marked "not part of AO" on the AO map has recently been vacated. Therefore, Tingitana (and ultimately Bedistan) will be taking over that area instead of the northern strip of former Lukeonia. The upshot of this is that the total amount of free space in area 5 ends up being just slightly greater (i.e. less land is occupied overall). |

Okay, so I've messaged Vilita twice on here and on NS, and I know he's been online once or twice, and still no kind of response. And I'm still stuck unable to post anywhere but here. Can someone please help me out? |

Map updated 2006–06–17:- Added Communist Heights [CH] (puppet of Commerce Heights).
- Did not add neu amerika due to Vilita’s laziness.
- Changed Commerce Heights to UCS.
- Expanded Bedistan and Lontorika and expanded/contracted Commerce Heights.
- Removed Abattoir.
- Removed Dauna Hills.
- Removed Druida.
- Removed Jastica (not entirely sure about the name, since it’s not in the legend, but there are no nations starting with J in the region…).
- Removed New Qasimir.
- Removed Nova Moepoeia.
- Removed Rendition.
- Removed Tingitana.
Also, the map has a new permanent URI, as does the large map.. Also, there are URIs for old maps. (However, the old filename-based URIs are unlikely to break in the next 10 years.  )
(Note to Star: Bedistan [B] and Turori [T] are both strangely missing from the legend, and -chernobyl- was removed from the map over two months ago.) |

Alrighty then, Vilita must've done something, because I can reply to other people's threads now! Unfortunately, I can't start a new one of my own. However, I have posted up the Socialist Union's national anthem, and the breif history of the Socialist Union here.
If this is sufficient, I would like to have the Socialist Union placed in spot 12, south of Hockey Canada and Footbalia, southwest of Starblaydia, and northwest of the Lowland Clans.
